2020 Recap
Hello everyone!
2020 has been one for the books! My focus at the beginning of this
year was partner ENGAGEMENT. I wanted to make sure our Board
of Directors stayed connected to our members and met their
professional development needs. When the Pandemic began, we were
able to swiftly make our services virtual because of your
dedication and engagement. Thank you for showing up, asking
questions and volunteering your time! As the year is winding
down, I wanted to highlight some chapter activities we rolled
out this year with your support. Here is a recap.
New Chapter
Website
We launched our new website in January. The intent behind this
change is to enhance our members' experience with us and market our
chapter features such as online registration and registration for
education programming. The new website includes a private login
area for members and on-site registration for upcoming webinars and
events.
Virtual Open
House
We held our first open house in March. It gave members or
those who are thinking about becoming members the opportunity to
learn more about our chapter as well as ask us any questions you
have about the coaching profession.
All State
Virtual Coaches Cafes
We combined our in person coach cafes into one monthly virtual cafe
hosted by chapter volunteers.
New Coaches
Forum
Our chapter added a new professional development for newer coaches
who are looking to grow their coaching business and learn more
about the profession.
ICF Coaching
Week Partnership with Delta Theta Sigma
In May, we partnered with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated
to offer pro-bono coaching to their members. Several of you
willingly offered your time and showed up for our partnering communities.
As we close out 2020, I am confident that we will continue to work
together, network with each other, and provide engaging
professional development you need in 2021 to respond to any
challenges ahead.

Cheron Freeman,
2020 ICF Michigan President
