The Irish Wolfhound can be somewhat intimidating because of his size, but is very affectionate and gentle and usually greets everyone as a friend. The Irish Wolfhound proves to be a fast learner and will quickly grasp what you want him to do making him very obedient.
For my Irish Wolfhounds, I feed a grain-free, high quality dog food and they eat an average of 4 cups of food a day (not included added wet food).
Please do your research and if you've never had an Irish Wolfhound before, contact a local, qualified and responsible breeder in your area. You just want to make sure that your children do not climb all over the dog because that not safe for any breed especially one as big at the Irish Wolf Hound.
