Treating dogs with severe separation anxiety

Personal protection puppy training
For all the summer pups out there, the impending frost can be one of the most dreaded times of the year. If your dog is looking for a rigorous workout, but doesn’t feel like braving the cold, agility training is the perfect solution.
Dogs receive a lot of stimuli from going outside and socializing, whether it’s on their daily walk or trip to the dog park. Playing hide-and-seek with your dog is a great way to teach her important skills such as how to sit and stay and also how to search for, locate and bring back a specific object. You attend our classes at Westwood Park (the park behind the Federal Building just east of the Wilshire exit of 405 in West Los Angeles). Dog obedience training is communication — you are showing your dog how you want him to act in a way he understands. Dog training is trust — you are teaching him that he can feel safe and know that you will take care of him. With the Private Lessons, Los Angeles Dog Training classes, Los Angeles Puppy Training classes, Los Angeles Dog Agility and Tricks Fun classes, and with all the other services offered, you receive detailed written handouts (so you can review them between lessons) and articles on various aspects of dog behavior and training.

Private lessons are the most comprehensive way for you and your dog or puppy to learn since it is a customized program dealing with your choice of topics and issues – with a input from us regarding things we know (but you may not yet appreciate) are important. Our service area for private dog and puppy training lessons extends from San Fernando Valley to South Bay , Beverly Hills, Culver City, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, and West Los Angeles are the areas we service most frequently, but we do travel throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.
We assess what your current situation is, find out what you want to do, formulate a plan to help you reach your goal, and then work with you to get you there. You have our undivided attention for the entire lesson, which means that both you and your dog should progress fairly quickly. Our methods of training do not involve force, and both you and your puppy enjoy the training time together.
Please refer to Puppy Manners and New Puppy Training for more information on puppies, socialization, and training tips. We offer several options for group training classes, and they are an affordable way to teach your dog in a new environment around other dogs. We have a large training area for the classes located in West Los Angeles, and there is ample free parking.

Click on the name of the class for a description of our classes, and click here for a schedule of our Los Angeles Group Puppy and Dog Training Classes. The private lesson covers whatever you would like and solutions to as many simple behavior problems as we have time for. You receive personal attention for your dog’s specific immediate issues and then follow it up with basic obedience or puppy classes in a group setting.
This is the program for you if you would like a well-trained dog but don’t have the time or the patience to do the training yourself. In our Board and Train program (for dogs or puppies under 30 pounds only), your dog stays with us in our home where he is taught housetraining, basic obedience, and manners. We are now doing boarding for dogs  or puppies 30 pounds or less, and we are very particular on who we board, and there are restrictions. We are also available for speaking engagements on a whole host of dog and puppy training and behavior topics. For every client you refer to me who takes a group class or a one-hour private lesson, you get 1 point.
We are located in West Los Angeles but travel for private lessons throughout the Los Angeles area. Enrollment is quick and easy and classes can be found at local shelters, agility clubs and a variety of other places in the community.
And since training takes up quite a bit of time, it will allow you and your dog to grow closer and build a stronger relationship. However, once it starts getting cold, it’s a lot harder to stay outdoors for long periods of time.
To avoid breaking everything in your home, use a softer ball and clear an area for you and your dog to play. Fortunately, they reached a compromise and spend an equal amount of time now playing indoors. With exclusively designed graphics created by artists in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles and certified safe polyfiber stuffing made from recycled plastic bottles, we deliver a look and feel that will leave tails wagging and wallets intact.
In our Private Lessons, we also work on Behavior Issues.  Private lessons are for people who want personal attention or whose dogs have behavior issues. Your puppy can begin training at home at eight weeks old, but we suggest you wait until ten weeks to enroll him in a class.

You are laying the foundation for your puppy’s future behavior through a positive, creative, and structured approach to his training.
This is a unique class specifically geared to puppy issues, and there is no class like this in the Los Angeles area. Everyone who takes one of my dog or puppy group training classes or any private lesson is automatically enrolled! If your dog relies on clear skies and a moderate climate for exercise, it may be time to think of an alternative. You can also set up a course at home if your dog needs some extra practice or if you’re looking to save a few bucks on training. And if you’re really trying to tucker her out for the evening, throw the ball up and down a set of stairs a few times. These fashionably unique and durable dog beds do so much more than provide a place for your dog to rest its head.
Fees are determined by the time and distance involved but begin at $295 in West Los Angeles and selected surrounding areas and are generally two hours.
Some issues such as separation anxiety, fear, and aggression are not appropriate for this program. Then we meet with you after the training program to demonstrate the techniques and show you how to continue with your dog’s training.
Designed to fit any stylish home, these dog beds are a treat for both you and your furry friends. Click on the above link for more information and a detailed description of what you and your puppy will learn. We work on basic obedience curriculum or trick training in the convenience of your home for a fraction of the cost of private lessons.
