After some tweaking, testing and research, I combined some of my favorites into this full body circuit workout. It took me about 40 minutes to do 3 rounds of the workout and I burned 350 calories, which isn’t terrible. Now that you’ve done a great workout, finish up with drinking a delicious protein smoothie to fuel you for the rest of the day!

My workouts have been getting a little monotonous lately: squats, deadlifts, bench press repeat. I’ve been itching to shake up my workouts a bit, so last week I headed to the gym with no clear workout in mind. So, for example, for circuit 3, do 10 wide pushups followed by 10 narrow pushups, over and over for 2 minutes. Try to use about 60 – 70% of your regular weights for the exercises that require them.

The image I included for the burpees is one with a pushup but I actually did a basic burpee without the pushup because of the pushup circuit right before.
After circuit 4, I needed a little more rest so I rested for 45 seconds instead of 30 because the burpees killed me. Do you like circuit workouts? What are your favourite ways to get out of an exercise rut?
Instructions: After warming up with light cardio for five minutes, repeat each three-exercise circuit twice, resting for 60 seconds after completing one round of an entire circuit. Fit, I'll probably hate you over my sore muscles tomorrow morning, but thanks so much for this workout!
I just did a curcuit workout yesterday with my husband and it was crazy hard, in a good way:) I am def going to try this one tomorrow morning. While someday I hope to fit this in, until then, I am always looking for new and different workouts that I can do at home. Working the same muscle for 2 minutes straight will tire you out faster than doing sets with rests in between. Somehow circuits make me feel like I worked so much harder even if I don’t lift at heavy.
