Once that was dry I rubbed some Vaseline on the corners and a few other spots and then gave each board 1 coat of Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch spray paint in Heirloom White.
We added another coat of white paint and then coated the entire thing with three coats of Rustoleum satin polyurethane. As the instructions explained, I wiped the stain along the grain after letting the stain dry for 10 minutes.
The other sample sent by my peeps at Rust-Oleum was a really cool matte polyurethane to seal my stain.
Oh I like the one all t he way to the left… but I am bias and love super deep wood tones! Based on your inspiration pictures, I think deep in your heart you want the light bleached wood. I was so looking forward to trying out my samples of Varathane Wood Stain sent over from the lovely people at Rust-Oleum. Originally I had thought I would go with the Weathered Gray but in the end Ebony was my stain of choice.
