29 Sep. 2010How to build a child table and chairs,nativity scene wood carving,veneer inlay techniques,tapered dowel pins wood - Within MinutesBefore beginning to build, always check in on my site to make sure you have the most up to date set of plans, I occasionally update and change the plans to make the building process easier or to allow for less expensive purchasing of materials! This simple children's play table is easy and economical to build, at the perfect height for toddlers and preschoolers. But then, you already knew there had to be a table to match those stackable four dollar chairs from yesterday. There are other ways to build this tabletop without pocket holes, but in order to get a tabletop worthy of coloring and cheap, this was the answer. I used furring strips from Lowe’s for the entire project except the table top itself. I still have lots to do up here but I do feel like I have made some serious progress… And the kids love it too! WOW this is AMAZING I LOVE your cute little play table and all the furniture in the playroom, I love the little kitchen too! I just felt for the first time that I could actually start looking for a home because I could afford to furnish it with all your tutorials (and my husband is amazing at building so it would be a cinch for him!) It’s fun too because he built me an 8 foot bench with 4 cubbies and a hinge top for more storage and stained it with the dark walnut!! Not every plan that I post has been built and tested, so you are building at your own risk.  Use glue to secure your joints and Consider Painting or Staining individual sections prior to assembling. It is recommended that you have a clear understanding of how the project works before beginning any project. Coat with a spray on Poly or Wipe on Poly to protect your finish and your piece and it will last for ages. Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines, and be sure you follow safety protocol throughout your build. If you are unsure about whether you are building safely, run a quick online search for the tool or technique you are using, or contact me via email or post to the forum before you move ahead.  |
