Still such a necessity in our lives, this dog kennel is both a tabletop surface and home for our puppy. My husband made me one of these crates as a wedding present (he also surprised me with a puppy). Building the dog crate is a straight-forward project if you plan everything form the very beginning.
Locking the four sides of crate together is a straight forward job, but you need to work with attention. The price tag on this dog crate end table seems a bit insane to me, but I like the contemporary design and multi-purpose use.
This DIY Contemporary Doghouse comes with a full step-by-step tutorial in case you want to make one for your pup.
A dog bed nightstand is a great option for those who want to keep their pups close at night but don’t want to share their bed. If you have a medium or large dog, a built-in dog crate under a cabinet or kitchen island might be a more practical option for you.
For the ultimate out-of-the-way dog crate, find an unused nook in the house to build a private room for your pet.
Yes, we built it just high enough to slide the crates easily in and out (a must for cleaning because we have long haired dogs). Not every home buyer would want a built-in- dog crate but I wouldn’t let it stop me from putting one in either. My ex was so obsessed with what future buyers would want that he never let me so much as hang a picture, much less plant a garden. We brought the crate inside to see if the girls would like it and if the size would fit in our living room, with the intention of hauling it back to the garage for paint and finish.
I'm an animal control officer and I'm going to have to get cracking -- I'll need about twelve of these for me, friends, relations, and would-be-animal-adopters, and that's just THIS month! Therefore, if you want to build a simple but sturdy crate for your favorite pet, we recommend you to pay attention to the instructions described in this project.

This end table was custom built to fit over an existing crate, but if your pets are small you can achieve the same look with a standard table.
I had a few doubts about putting the puppies under those heavy machines, but my husband designed the platform to be quite sturdy and we tested it extensively. My husband is unfortunately still not on board with my plans to tear into the drywall and moulding, so I’m modifying my plans. Don’t forget that you should also adjust the design and the shape of the dog crate as to suit your needs and fit within the budget allocated for the project.
I’ve done some research and found that you really can have stylish dog crates that fit your decor. Also you need to consider the health risk that you expose your dog(s) to from the chemicals in the laundry room all day (detergent, dryer sheets, washing tabs etc).
