The extensions are so quick and easy, I actually forgot to take pictures of putting together the first part which is joining the two 2x8x41′s together. I start just like i did with the tabletop and lay my boards out on the concrete floor and arrange them differently to get the best fit to one another. 
One trick I do is I take a measurement and mark from both ends of a board to ensure that I’ve found the true center. Once they are joined together, I distress the tops, round off the edges, and sand it all down.
