Bird feeder designs and plans, wooden tool boxes for sale, firewood rack plans pvc, woodworking plans & projects 2015 - Try Out
I've found that with side panels such as these it's best to make a template first and then cut out the actual sides.
Using a guide as shown above in the right side drawing, I've found it easiest to just use a hand saw or back saw to cut the grooves for the plastic panels.
Attach the perch rails and the spacers as shown here making sure they're flush with the outside edges. After attaching the sides then slide the plastic panels down into the grooves all the way to the stops.
To get the correct angle for the roof edge set the roof panel on top of the sides and draw a vertical line up thru the top panel. Place our special formula Transfer Paper on your wood, ink side down, then lay your Winfield pattern on top.
Use a good outdoor wood and let your workmanship show through.Take down the feeder in the spring and summer as the birds will have plenty to eat.
