Welcome and thanks for using my personal blog WordPress theme deLirium. Please read this carefully! Should you have any doubts or experience any problems, please visit the ThemeShift support forums to post your question.

Installation

  1. Download deLirium zip archive.
  2. Go to WP-Admin > Appearance > Install Themes > Upload and choose the new theme zip folder.
  3. Activate the theme.

Update

  1. Download the new version of the theme.
  2. Backup old theme files! Deactivate the current version of the theme and remove the files from your server.
  3. Go to WP-Admin > Appearance > Install Themes > Upload and choose the new theme zip folder.
  4. Activate the theme.

Please notice! You can download the latest version of the theme with the download link that has been sent to you after purchase at any time. Please save this link for future updates!

Theme Support

ThemeShift theme packages include support. After you purchased your theme from the ThemeShift website you will get unlimited access to the ThemeShift support forums. There you can post any theme-related problems indicating your WordPress version and the URL of the site the theme is installed on.

Please notice! I cannot provide support for WordPress in general, any third party plugins or major personal customizations of a theme.

Please notice! I'll manually upgrade your account. If the name and/or email is different from the one you made the purchase with, post the details (transaction ID, name or email) in the forums or send me a direct message to simon@themeshift.com.

Post / Page Images

The theme supports WordPress post thumbnails. To add the main post image please click on Set featured image in the Featured Image box on the right, upload your image and click Use as featured image. deLirium will automatically create all the necessary image sizes.

Upload Custom Logo

On the theme options page you can insert the URL or directly upload your custom logo.

  1. Click on Upload Image
  2. Choose the image file from your computer
  3. Click on Media Library
  4. Click on Show
  5. Click on Insert into Post *

* Please make sure that the size Full Size is selected.

Read More Links

To cut off posts and create a read more link please use the WordPress more tag. You'll find this feature in the tool bar of the WordPress post editor. Please find some more information.

Theme Options

In order to customize deLirium to your needs please visit WP-Admin > deLirium > Theme Options in the WP-Admin menu and set your options.

General

  1. Logo

    Please enter an URL or upload your custom logo from your local computer.

    If you need to adjust the position of your blog title (next to logo), please go to the theme options page and add the following code in the custom CSS box (General section): #header h2 { bottom: 40px; left: 235px; }. Play around with these values to fit your needs.

  2. RSS URL

    Please enter your custom RSS URL (e.g. Feedburner). If empty, the default WordPress RSS feed will be used.

  3. Custom CSS

    Easily add some custom css to the head of your theme.

  4. Tracking Code

    Insert your tracking code here (e.g. Google Analytics). This code will be added to the footer of the theme.

Layout

  1. Color Scheme

    Please select your preferred color scheme. You can choose between red, blue, green and pink.

  2. Style Switcher

    Tick the box to display a jQuery color switcher in the header on the front end. The user will then be able to switch the color of the theme.

  3. Alignment

    Please select the alignment of the theme. The whole theme can be aligned or to the left or be display in the centre of the screen.

  4. Sidebar

    Please select the position of the sidebar. The sidebar can be displayed on the right (default) or on the left hand side.

  5. Archive

    Please select your preferred layout for archive pages (e.g. category, tag).

  6. Archive Title

    Tick the box to display the archive title.

  7. Pages

    Tick the box to also display comments on static pages. By default comments will only be displayed on single post pages.

Menu

  1. Categories

    Please enter the category IDs you want to exlcude from the menu (e.g. 2,5,9).

  2. Pages

    Please enter the page IDs you want to exlcude from the menu (e.g. 3,65,71).

  3. Home

    Exclude the home link from the menu. The logo will also be linked to the home page.

Homepage

  1. Teaser

    Please enter your teaser text (HTML allowed). Text will be wrapped by H1 tags.

  2. Display teaser on all pages?

    The teaser in the theme header can be displayed on all pages (not only home page). On category pages it can optionally be replaced by the category description, on sinlge posts or pages by a custom field called teaser.

  3. Slider Category

    Please select your slider category. If empty, no slider will be displayed.

  4. Slider Items

    Please select the number of post items you want to display in the slider.

  5. Slider Pause

    Please select how many seconds each item is displayed (off = no auto slide).

  6. Slider Ribbon

    Display a nice featured ribbon in the top left slider corner.

    To customize the ribbon please open the /psd/ribbon.psd, customize it to your needs and save it as ribbon-red.png, ribbon-blue.png, ribbon-green.png and ribbon-pink.png.
  7. Posts Title

    Please enter the title that appears above the home page posts.

  8. Posts Category

    Please select your home page category. If empty, the most recent posts will be displayed.

  9. Posts Items

    Please select the number of post items you want to display on the home page.

Footer

  1. About Title

    Please enter a title for the about text in the footer (e.g. about me)

  2. About Text

    Please enter a short text about you that will be displayed in the footer.

  3. About Image

    Tick this box if you want to display a gravatar (based on admin's email) in your about text.
    Don't have one? Get one!

  4. Social Links

    Please enter a title for the social links in the footer.

  5. Social Icon

    Please select an icon for your social link.

  6. Social Link URL

    Please enter the URL of your social link.

  7. Social Link Text

    Please enter the link text of your social.

Theme License

ThemeShift themes are released under the GNU general public license. You may use your purchased theme on as many pages as you like for personal or commercial purposes. Unlimited access to the support forums is granted only to customers who buy a theme package from the ThemeShift website. Access for visitors and users of my free themes will be limited.

Refund Policy

Please keep in mind that ThemeShift themes are non-tangible and irrevocable digital goods. Theme purchases are generally not refundable. So before you buy, please ensure that the desired theme fits your needs. If in doubt, post your pre-purchase questions to the support forums.

Warranty

ThemeShift themes are guaranteed to run on the latest stable version of WordPress. ThemeShift reserves the right to reject support requests for problems that occur after theme files have been modified or third party plugins have been installed.

ThemeShift themes are constantly updated to be compatible with the latest stable version of WordPress. Please ensure that you always use the most current version of my themes. Theme purchases include future theme upgrades!
