NatGeo’s Doomsday Preppers is a documentary series about people preparing for the end of the world, hording supplies, learning survival skills and building elaborate shelters in the hopes that when the big day comes the four horse-persons of the apocalypse might pass them by. Available now on iTunes, Doomsday Preppers the game is the incredibly addictive and oft-copied Tiny Tower, only instead of building up the player is digging down, crafting sub-floors dedicated to security, shelter, recreation, crafting, food processing and science. Say what you will about cloning winning formulas, this is the only way a Doomsday Preppers game would have made sense, and it works amazingly well. As an added bonus, codes for game content will be distributed during new episodes of the show, giving fans extra-incentive to play what they watch and watch what they play. With just over a month until the much ballyhooed end of the Mayan calendar, are you prepared for planetary disaster? If there’s going to be a major disaster, almost seven out of ten of us (69%) say it will be a natural disaster, not a man-made one. But only four in ten are confident in the federal government’s ability to handle a storm like Sandy. Just over half of people would want to have a religious text, like the Bible or Koran, in hand if they were expecting a major disaster. But only six out of ten would want their last sexual encounter to be with their significant other. And only 3% of us would quit our jobs – hmm, perhaps just in case the world doesn’t quite end? More than one in four of us actively know someone who’s a committed doomsday prepper.
And rather than simply thinking about our own survival, which, frankly, is all our species ever does, maybe it’s time to do something on behalf of those other animals.
Doomsday Preppers explores the lives of otherwise ordinary Americans who are preparing for the end of the world as we know it. Preppers everywhere are addicted to Doomsday Preppers, a series on the National Geographic channel. The Doomsday Preppers website is full of videos from real preppers that may give you some ideas for how to boost your own plan. At Wise we are so impressed with this show that we sponsored the new season as the sole emergency food sponsor! Finally, we KNOW that many of our customers are expert preppers so consider sharing your knowledge with the world by responding to NatGeo’s casting call!

Wise products have the highest customer ratings for quality and convenience in the industry. Castles were the ultimate homes for who we’d like to consider the original preppers – kings and noblemen, who were under constant threat from neighboring enemies. Brent, with the help of his children, is on a quest to finish his towering castle that is isolated deep in the mountains.
We’ll also be featuring our favorite castles in the Doomsday Castle Gallery, as well right back here on the blog.
We want to highlight some of our favorite CapIts from last night’s back-to-back premieres of the all-new season of Doomsday Preppers. You people under stand they put you on tv because you are a train wreck like jersey shore right? I agree with Joe we need to consider self conditioning as part of our preparations or all of the rest of the effort will be lost. GO's unauthorised gambling culture came to a head recently, with several prominent YouTube personalities caught in the fallout.
As a promo for the second season of its reality show Doomsday Preppers, National Geographic TV says that nine out of ten people recently surveyed expect a world disaster within the next 25 years.
On NatGeo TV’s upcoming season, you can meet people like Robert and Debbie Earl, Floridians who worry about the seas rising and are building a home constructed of old tires and sand-filled bottles near Alpine, Texas.
So he’s formed a prepper network of family and friends, who can work together in case of calamity.
So he and his family of eight have stored chemical suits, along with more than 2,000 pounds of flour, sugar and other food, along with water, gas, diesel, coal, guns and chickens. This popular show, now in its second season showcases real preppers as they prepare for worst-case scenarios, which gives viewers all kinds of creative ideas and information about preparing for disasters and emergencies. Some preppers are focused on being entirely self-sufficient, some on staying safe and defended, and some are focused on a situation they believe to be the biggest threat to their way of life and are specifically preparing for pandemic, war or governmental failure.
The first episode was November 13th but you can see replays during the week and on the NatGeo website. But for American prepper Brent, a castle is the perfect defense for the doomsday scenario he fears will set the world back to the Dark Ages – an electromagnetic burst that would cause massive power grid failure.

Place them upon battlements and around the castle grounds, but be mindful of alliances and rivalries, as that will effect their performance. So be sure to check back later this week when we announce the week’s best castle submissions. If you haven’t already, be sure to download IntoNow and submit CapIts during next week’s show for a chance to be featured on the blog! We certainly cannot entertain packing a 60 pound bug our bag, guns and ammo if we are out of shape and overweight. Delivery men show up with supplies, and they never leave — they just mysteriously disappear. Just days ago, a four-year investigation into the company concluded with no criminal proceedings by the US state of Rhode Island. If you thought the drama was online only, think again, with one Australian senator keen to legislate gambling and video games. But rather than storing away supplies to give ourselves a few more months of life, or thinking about who we’d like to have a last fling with, we might want to take a look at our relationship to the world of nature and how our personal way of living is continuing to make the world a much worse place for our fellow animals.
One of the best parts of the show is the discussion at the end of every episode in which experts evaluate the subject’s plans and reveal how long they are likely to survive if their worst fears become reality. You decide how many bandits to unleash on your castle, and the more you defeat, the more unlockable defenses you earn. If they really felt in the heart that something catastrophic will happen, being a great shape would be top on the list!! You’ll score points for things like having water stored, having a close and renewable source of water as well as a means of purification, having food stored, living in a temperate climate, or having a renewable food supply such as a garden and livestock.
Equip your castle with fire moats, murder holes, Molotov cocktails, and landmines to fortify your castle and survive Armageddon. Having a bunker or safe room will score you big points, but if you’ve forgotten to stock medical supplies you’ll lose the opportunity to score points.
