I believe my life purpose is to help people develop their God given potential…which is why I am currently in the HR field but sometimes I feel I am not yet where I am supposed to be. Often we convince ourselves that life will be better after we have graduated from college, or sincerely dedicated ourselves to a job that we truly enjoy, or get married and so on – the cycle can be endless. Find your purpose, do what you love to do the most, live with passion, search for what gives your life meaning. For starters, it is common for people to associate their life as an equation with their jobs (Life = Job). To avoid landing yourself in such a rut of not finding time, first off on your check list should be to prioritise and re-define yourself by WHO you are vs.
It has been my observation that so many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security.
So you would be working with people like me to figure out what their purpose is, 'Lara!

I feel some people are lucky in that they find their purpose really early on without any of this soul searching business while some of us will have to work harder to figure it out.
In doing so, not only are you escaping from the beauty of the small moments life has to offer, but you are delaying your happiness – from experiencing blissful happiness right now AND even in the future! It's about being in tune with who you really are because having a purpose in your life is almost like a spiritual experience. The chapters of The Purpose Driven Life are quite short, which makes it tempting to keep reading but I will be disciplined and read just one chapter each day for the next 40ish days (fingers crossed that I don’t miss a day!) and reflect on each chapter as suggested in the book.
The only way I can get rid of the blockage I feel in my life is to figure out what on earth I’m here for! Not handing over control of ones life is a symptom of wrong facts which have turned belief. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.

I used to believe like a lot of people that telling God to take over my life would be tantamount to getting ready to head for a remote part of the world to preach or do something really hard that I would not like to do. I have control issues: God does a better job of guiding my life but I keep forgetting that! It will only lead you to grow into a beautiful human being brimming with experiences of a life lived fully.
