Dinan has announced their tuning program for the new BMW M235i Coupe bumping the power numbers by 44 horsepower and 77 lb-ft of torque.
The tuning package includes the Performance Spring Set, Free Flow Exhaust system and DINANTRONICS Performance tuner, bumping the power numbers by 44 horsepower and 77 lb-ft of torque. Dinan’s Bolt-On Free Flow exhaust system features 16 gauge 304 stainless steel construction measured to exact specifications to ensure the proper fit and will resist corrosion for years to come.
The DINANTRONICS™ Performance Tuner enhances engine performance of the M235i and its Stage 1 DINANTRONICS unit produces 364HP and 407 lb-ft of torque. Dinan’s Performance Spring Set lowers the M235i by ?” front and 1”rear, preserving suspension geometry and lowering the car’s center of gravity for enhanced handling and driver control.
The 10% increase in spring rate will reduce the rear suspension compression under acceleration and front suspension compression (or dive) under braking, giving your car a more controlled feel. Back when BMW was still offering naturally aspirated mills, getting that winning edge over your rival through tuning wasn’t all that easy. After some three years on the market, the BMW 4 Series is getting its first mid-cycle update. BMWBLOG goes to Dallas to test drive the new 2015 Rolls Royce Ghost Series II When is a car not a car? Make no mistake, like its 1 Series predecessor, the new BMW 2 Series was made to satisfy the driving enthusiast. If you've been in a new BMW recently, then the interior of the new 2 Series will be very familiar. While we didn't get to test the six-speed manual transmission on the BMW M235i, the 8-speed automatic was very responsive and sharp when switching gears in the manual mode.
The 2014 BMW M235i Coupe features a sporty, leather-wrapped steering wheel that features paddle shifters. LAS VEGAS, Nevada — While Germany’s BMW chases a wider audience as it strives to become the world’s largest luxury automaker, the new 2014 BMW 2 Series is a reminder of where the once cultish sporting brand came from.
Despite the new name, the compact sports coupe — formerly known as the 1 Series — has the same mission as its predecessor: keep the BMW faithful happy. If you’ve been in a new BMW recently, then the interior of the new 2 Series will be very familiar. Like the 2007 to 2013 BMW 1 Series, the new 2 is essentially a shrink-wrapped version of a contemporary 3 Series with seating for two and two more in a pinch. Arriving at Canadian dealers this March, there will initially be a pair of 2 Series Coupes. If you think the new 4 Series is too big and heavy, the new M235i Coupe should alleviate that complaint. Away from Las Vegas Speedway, on public roads, BMW has also addressed one of the biggest beefs with the outgoing 1 Series: its overly stiff ride. If the new 2014 2 Series Coupe’s main mission was to attract potential buyers who feel the new 4 Series Coupe has grown too mature, then mission accomplished.

If you’re a BMW enthusiast from the Netherlands, then you’re in luck as the German firm has just announced the BMW M235i Track Edition specifically for Holland’s automotive market. While the name ‘Track Edition’ may evoke feelings of increased power, hardcore braking and suspension systems among other changes, the tweaks on the M235i Track Edition aren’t all that performance oriented. First off, the Track Edition comes standard with a complete M Performance bodykit which includes new features like a more prominent splitter, bootlid lip spoiler, side skirts as well as an aggressive rear diffuser.
The M235i Track Edition is also noteworthy because it includes a selection of race-oriented components in the cabin.

Just a few weeks ago we ran an article on the favorite exterior finishes for a BMW M3 and one that stand out particularly was the Estoril Blue paint job. The popular Estoril Blue can be seen today on most of the sporty BMWs, from the M135i to the M235i and even on some 435i models. So when a BMW M235i in Estoril Blue went to European Auto Source for some aftermarket goodies, we knew we had to take a closer look.
With the BMW M2 coming out soon with beefier looks and updated performance, the already available BMW M235i is no slouch for owners who wish to have something more normal for their daily driving. Powered by a 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine developing 320 horsepower, it clearly packs more than enough power to provide its driver and passengers with ample performance and driving dynamics. For this project, the owner worked closely with EAS to develop a unique and stylish exterior appearance. The wheels added to this BMW M235i are sized 18 inches front and rear, coming with Michelin tires.
What a little paint can do: BMW Abu Dhabi Motors shows us a BMW M235i Coupe with M Performance Parts with some red accents. The Mineral Grey BMW M235i Coupe is equipped with an M Performance splitter partially painted in red, rear diffuser also slightly touched with red paint, M Black kidney grills, M Performance Side Skirts with branding and red accents, M Performance Exhaust System, Carbon Mirror Caps – and segment exclusive 19” wheels for the M235i.
Still a little faster out of the blocks is the BMW M235i xDrive all-wheel drive, which can accelerate with launch control in 4.6 seconds to 62 mph. At the BMW exhibit in Detroit, one model that stands out is an Alpine White BMW M235i with all the possible M Performance Parts. The market launch of the BMW 2 Series Coupe clinches pole position in the premium compact segment. Back in May, UK journalist Chris Harris announced that he is going to get his hands on a BMW M235i with M Performance Parts.

After it conquered the heart of all purist with the new M235i, BMW wants to adress also the public who wants the same amount of power but with more safe driving. The car uses the same 3.0 liter petrol engine, delivering 326 hp and 450 Nm or 332 lb-ft of torque. Adopting a xDrive configuration increases the total weight of the vehicle to a maximum of 1525 kilograms. This system is designed to add a more aggressive sound under acceleration and more horsepower, while reducing drone inside the vehicle thanks to the incorporation of a Helmholtz chamber. An additional option for this system is the progressive rate bump stops to increase suspension travel. Reduced body roll makes steering more responsive to driver input and will be noticed at speeds as low as 20 mph, up to the top speed of the vehicle. You know whom I’m talking about: the type of Old School BMW fanatic who thinks every model should have a manual gearbox sending power to the rear wheels that can drive circles around the unwashed masses flailing around in wrong-wheel-drive Audis and Mercedes-Benzes.
As such, the 2 Series Coupe sits just under the also-new-for 2014 4 Series Coupe (formerly known as the 3 Series Coupe) in BMW’s two-door lineup.
Preceded by the BMW CS1 concept in 2002, the 1 Series was the last remaining model created under the direction of former head of BMW design Chris Bangle, who left the company in 2009. It’s the only 2 Series Coupe (for now, at least) that sports a straight-six gas engine, the brand’s familiar and longitudinally mounted turbocharged 3.0L unit.
Like the limited edition M135i (the first M Performance model sold in the Canada), the new M235i is not a “real” M sub-brand car (like the new M3 Sedan or M4 Coupe).
Because after a day of some on-track and on-road driving in and around the Las Vegas area, it’s safe to say that the M235i Coupe should keep traditional BMW fans happy.
With less weight to manage and a smaller footprint than the 4, BMW engineers have created a chassis that delivers a high level of grip, control and ultimately driver confidence with the 2.

BMW says stiffer springs and shocks but softer bushings and bump stops means the M235i can handle larger bumps and sharp road creases without upsetting its chassis as much. Especially in M235i Coupe form, the 2 Series two-doors are a very appealing proposition to driving enthusiasts in a segment chock full of front- or all-wheel-drive compacts. Elsewhere, the BMW M235i Track Edition includes a blacked out kidney grille, a complete stainless steel exhaust system as well as 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels to help reduce the unsprung mass of the potent front-engined sports car. The most obvious is the Alcantara wrapped steering wheel which includes a race display just like some of the very best racing cars and supercars.
With a passion for news driving him, Brad is always on the lookout for the latest developments in the industry. The M235i now features some high-quality aftermarket parts, such as BBS Wheels, M Performance Parts, Macht Schnell parts and iND Distribution accessories. Known within the aftermarket tuning scene for their quality and classic designed wheels, the BBS rims are the pinnacle of aftermarket wheels. Furthermore, the owner opted out to get his vehicle lowered by using a set of ST Suspension SpeedTech Coilovers which allow for improved cornering performance. By using a bit of red paint and a wide range of BMW M Performance Parts, the folks over in Abu Dhabi managed to completely transform the look of the M235i making it even more desirable.
This is the reason why the German manufacturer introduces the all new BMW M235i xDrive, set to go on sale this summer. The exhaust gasses exit out of the laser engraved twin 89mm ceramic black or polished stainless steel exhaust tips. The Dinan springs are CNC wound with high-tensile chrome silicon wire and shot-peened for stress relief to last the life of the car. It’s powered by the same 2.0-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder engine found in other BMWs, and is rated at 241 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Instead, BMW says M Performance sub-brand models are not as “uncompromising” as the purer M cars, and better line up against cars like Audi’s S models (as per the forthcoming Audi S3 compact sedan). Like its BMW siblings, the M235i Coupe can be tuned to four different driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.
The Macht Schnell wheel spacers were installed to allow the wheels to sit perfectly with this vehicle. To set this 2014 BMW M235i Hi Res Picture you just need 2 step, First step is click "Get Detail" button or click on the picture then you will be redirected to picture detail, second step is just right-click on mouse and select "Set As Desktop Background" or if you just want to keep it, click "Save 2014 BMW M235i Hi Res Picture" button below. Like its bigger brothers, you’ll find an iPad Mini-like central screen mounted on the dash, standard iDrive controller, and a slew of new-age driver assistance systems for buyers who can’t change lanes, avoid other vehicles or park their own cars. Because a car like this is not purchased to save fuel, I spent my M235i seat time exclusively in the last two modes, both of which deliver sharper responses from the steering wheel and gas pedal. Combined with a longer wheelbase, the M235i is more hospitable on bad pavement than its predecessor by a wide margin. The acceleration time is 0.2 seconds better then the one of offered by the rear wheel drive version. Front seat occupants benefit from a bit more headroom in the 2 Series than the 1, while trunk space goes up by 20 litres to 390. I cannot comment on the car’s six-speed manual transmission, as we were only offered automatic versions of the M235i Coupe to drive, but when slotted into manual mode, the eight-speeder responds promptly and sharply when you need to change gears.
