Can type 2 diabetes lead to type 1 nieuws,january 5th revenge,opvolger m90 slaapzak - 2016 Feature

According to the American Diabetes Association, in the United States, about 8.3% of the total population has some form of diabetes. A lot of research has been looking at any correlation between type II diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease, and the research has been proving to show that there may indeed be a relationship.
Above is a figure showing how both type 1 and type II diabetes can lead to Alzheimer’s disease. What is so unfortunate about this relationship between AD and Type II diabetes is that with the increasing numbers of diabetes in the United States, there will also be an enormous increase in AD, especially in the future. So what are the true keys to helping battle diabetes, preventing diabetes, and lowering the chances of getting AD? The Cobbers on the Brain blog is a component of the Neurochemistry course at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and written by students. Employers are concerned about obesity and its impact on their bottom line.  More than one third of American adults are obese and these extra pounds are packing a punch to your clients’ budgets from productivity loss due to absenteeism or “presenteeism” and increased health and life insurance rates, disability payments and workers compensation claims.
It may seem obvious that employers are seeking ways in which they can effectively impact rising obesity rates and their bottom line. However, given employees’ bright spirits, festive moods and weight-loss goals, they may be receptive to messaging about the benefits of healthy eating.  Just as unhealthy food selections can have a negative impact on health, healthy food selections can have a positive impact on health—a message that may be well received at a time when people are focusing on family and their spiritual, emotional and overall well-being.
When you and your clients think about your holiday parties this year, think about how you can incorporate healthy options into the occasion yourself, or even encourage employees to do the same. Good nutrition from healthy food options and exercise are instrumental to losing weight and maintaining weight loss.   They are also important to maintaining wellness and reducing the risk of chronic diseases – impacting overall health while reducing your client’s budget implications. With the annual tradition of weight loss resolutions just weeks away, how are you getting a head start on communicating the benefits of healthy eating with your clients?  Tell us about the steps you are taking, leave a comment below.
Toronto: Loss of a 'dimmer' switch that adjusts how much or how little insulin is secreted from pancreatic cells when blood sugar increases appears to cause Type-2 diabetes, suggests new research.
The 'dimmer' switch can be restored and 'turned back on' -- reviving proper control of insulin secretion from pancreatic islet cells of people with Type-2 diabetes, said researcher Patrick MacDonald, associate professor at University of Alberta in Canada.
The ability to restore and fix the dimmer switch in islet cells may have been proven on a molecular level, but finding a way to translate those findings into clinical use could yet take decades.
A diet high in sugar, fat and processed food is one of the risk factors for Type 2 diabetes, so indirectly eating a lot of sugar can make you more of a risk for developing diabetes. A new study in the journal, Nature Medicine, has found a link between a high fat diet and Type 2 diabetes. Although the link between obesity (often caused by eating a high-fat diet) and Type 2 diabetes (also known as diabetes 2 or sugar diabetes in South Africa) has been known for some time, this new study shows how fat disrupts the production of the enzyme GnT-4a which allows the cells in the body to absorb glucose. The most prevalent is type II diabetes, and occurs when the body is unable to produce enough insulin, or the cells in the body begin to resist the insulin the body produces. Alzheimer’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease where things called amyloid beta plaques and tau tangles build up in the brain, causing neurons to die and leading to impaired memory and cognitive dysfunction. The chances of someone getting AD increases as we get older, and if one also has type II diabetes, the chances of having AD becomes a scary number. While eating large doses of sugar, especially in one sitting, is obviously not good for anyone, it does not directly lead to diabetes.

That said, Type 1 diabetes is completely unrelated to diet – people who eat no sugar become diabetic, and those who eat lots of sugar also become diabetic. While many people suggest that those with diabetes should avoid all sugar and treats altogether, that makes the treats even more tempting.
Want to do an update on our interview with you for Sweet Life mag, please can you DM me your new email address?
In this Pt 1 article, I am looking at Diabetes and blood sugar specifically and the foods and smoothies to help with that as well as some information on the role of the endocrine system, some common endocrine disorders, risk factors and prevention.
Hormones are substances sent through the blood stream that trigger chemical reactions in our cells.
While hormonal shifts can result from birth or genetic defects, others can be brought on by age, stress, injury, infection or illness. When the small intestine absorbs food, it quickly releases sugars from the food known as glucose into the blood stream. This places the body into a state of Hyperglycemia (High Blood Sugar), and the pancreas must strain itself to produce extra Insulin to take care of it.
You are more as risk for diabetes if you are over weight or obese, have high blood pressure, have high LDL Cholesterol, have a family history of diabetes. Consuming high fibre, low sugar and nutrient dense plant foods on a steady, sensible schedule may significantly improve how your body controls it’s energy levels. Magnesium is known to help control glucose levels and prevent damage to the retinas; a common concern among diabetics. Due to the decrease in insulin within the brain, or the increase in insulin resistance, insulin is unable to properly carry out its functions.
We’ve been hearing it since elementary school, and many of us still don’t recognize these three important things. These chemical reactions change our body from the inside out, and, play a key role in maintaining cell growth, the stress response, sleep cycles, arousal, energy levels, reproductive changes and homeostasis. Because different hormones serve different purposes in the body, any over-productions, underproduction, or shift in the balance of hormone levels can interfere with normal physical functioning.
The pancreas sense this spike in blood sugar and releases a hormone called Insulin that links with the glucose molecules and delivers them to the cells at a slow and steady rate. Then, once we finally eat, glucose floods the unprepared bloodstream, leaving the pancreas scrambling to produce enough Insulin to handle the sudden change in our blood sugar levels. Problems associated with diabetes include blindness, heart disease, stroke, kidney failure and poor circulation in the limbs which may result in amputation in severe cases. As we already know, consuming these foods in an extracted and blended way aids digestibility ensuring your body gets exactly what it needs when it needs it. Insoluble fibre helps the blood sugar levels by bulking up foods without adding extra fat, sugar, protein, or calories. The information in the article this disclaimer is linked from is not meant to treat, diagnose, prescribe or cure any ailment. This can lead to Tau hyperphosphorylation and neurofibrillary tangles along with amyloid beta plaque formation, all of which are the cause of AD. Avoid anything fatty, fried and processed, and rather have very small portions of things like dark chocolate, homebaked muffins (no icing) and low GI crunchies if you need a guilty pleasure!
Issues in the endocrine glands are often responsible for hormonal imbalances, and because hormones work along with other body systems, endocrine disorders often surface in other organs. This slow and steady delivery of glucose to the cells keeps the cells working consistently, and as a result, maintains the body’s energy levels throughout the day. This allows the body to feel full on foods that do not release too much glucose, limiting insulin spikes that can lead to Type s diabetes. Always check with your health professional before taking any products or following any advice that you believe may conflict with other forms of health care. Insulin injections are great regulators for people with diabetes, and are already being used as treatment.
A healthy diet seems like a difficult option in today’s society, and I agree, but it’s definitely doable. These include the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid and adrenal glands, as well as the pancreas. This occurs when the Insulin response cannot properly manage the amount of glucose present in the blood.

Always consult your health care professional before you start, stop or change anything that has been previously prescribed. Finally, being educated on how to keep your body healthy and learning more about what we eat can go a long way in helping how we shop at the grocery store.
Several tissues of other organ systems also contain hormone secreting glands and function as part of the endocrine system also. These include the stomach, liver, heart, bone marrow, adipose tissue, testicles, ovaries and skin.
While Type 1 Diabetes is most often inherited genetically or prompted by illness, Type 2 Diabetes usually results from years of poor eating and lifestyle habits. Certain herbs and holistic remedies are unsuitable to take if you are pregnant or nursing and must always be cleared by your health professional before use. This alone is very alarming, but if you also take into account the cost of controlling diabetes, the health complications, and now the increasing rate of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), it appears that this epidemic must be addressed more in our society. It seems like a hard task that may empty out the pocket, and I won’t deny that that may be a possibility. Type 2 Diabetes is far more prevalent than Type 1 and accounts for up to 95% of all Diabetes diagnosed.
But one must weigh the risks, and I believe that living a healthy lifestyle will definitely be worth every penny.
The good news is that Type 2 Diabetes can be avoided or reversed with proper eating and lifestyle habits. Type 1 virus is the usual cause of cold sores around the mouth, and herpes simplex infection in the eye. It is commonly passed on by close contact such as kisses from a family member who has a cold sore.) In many people the primary infection does not cause any symptoms, although in some cases symptoms do occur. A minor and temporary inflammation of the conjunctiva (conjunctivitis) or eyelids (blepharitis) may occur with active infection, often at the same time as the cornea is infected. Often people who get active eye infection will have had previous cold sores during their lifetime. They may also put some stain on the front of your eye to show up any irregular areas on the cornea.
If your doctor suspects a herpes eye infection you will usually be referred urgently to an eye specialist.
This is to confirm the diagnosis and to determine whether the infection is in the top layer of the cornea (epithelial keratitis), or if the deeper layers are involved (stromal keratitis). These do not kill the virus but stop it from multiplying further until the infection clears.
You are likely to be kept under review, until the infection clears, to check that the cornea does not become infected. Note: if you have herpes simplex eye infection, you should stop wearing any contact lens until 24 hours after your symptoms and the infection have completely gone away. As mentioned above, these occur if the virus reactivates from time to time - similar to cold sores.
A recurrent infection may occur any time between a few weeks and many years after the first active infection.
At least half of people who have one episode of active infection will have a recurrence within 10 years of the first.
If recurrences are frequent or severe, then your eye specialist may advise that you take antiviral tablets each day to prevent episodes of active infection.
Studies have shown that, on average, the number of recurrences is roughly halved in people who take regular antiviral tablets.
Some people say that episodes of active herpes infection may be triggered by strong sunlight. It is also possible that active infection may be triggered if you are run down or unwell for another reason. Some women find that they get recurrences around the time of their period but again there is limited evidence to support this. However, severe and recurrent herpes simplex eye infections may lead to serious scarring, impaired vision and even blindness in some cases.
