The rapid adoption of new display touch technologies such as in-cell, on-cell, one glass solution and GFF are rapidly eliminating touch panels from display designs and making direct bonding critically important. For glass-to-glass or plastic-to-glass cover lens bonding applications, Loctite® 3193HS™ and 3194™, withstand stresses created by the substrates’ differing coefficients of thermal expansion. Two new Loctite® cleaners easily remove residues of uncured and cured adhesives from display surfaces.

When used on AR glass, these products increase the contrast ratio in sunlight by 400% and minimize the refractive index mismatch to glass and PMMA, minimizing light loss due to reflection. The seven products in the line include two dual cure adhesives designed to cure in shadowed area where light cannot reach.
Direct bonding is necessary to achieve the highest amount of contrast, particularly for outdoor applications, and to bring the image close to the viewer. Halogen-free and lead-free, LOCTITE GC 10 enables abandon times of up to 24 hours and has startup time of 0.
Replacing traditional copper wire and printed carbon, LOCTITE ECI 8000 Series enables design of products that require adaptable heating functionality.
Printed using standard printing processes, Loctite ECI 5000 Series allows for precise control of material deposition pattern and thickness. Optimized for use on components with pitches of 0.3 mm and greater, Loctite Multicore HF 212 contains zero deliberately added halogen and is under limit of detection for chlorine and bromine. Designed to fixture in less than 2 seconds, Loctite® Liquid Optically Clear Adhesives are compatible with 365 nm or 405 nm LED light sources and are intended for direct bonding cover lenses or touch panel sensors to LCDs. New adhesives for direct bonding and cover lens bonding simplify display assembly, while advanced cleaners reduce the overall manufacturing cost with more effective manual and automated rework cleaning processes.


Loctite® ultra-soft LOCAs for direct bonding reduce the potential for MURA, while filling gaps from 200 to 300 microns. These fast-flowing, low viscosity materials cure with light in seconds when filling gaps from 100 to 200 microns and achieve up to 7 MPA cross tensile strength. For use in manual assembly processes, the Loctite® SF 7190™ hand wipe cleaner features a fast evaporating solvent that is designed to wipe easily onto surfaces and eliminate dust, finger prints, and residues or small cured particles of adhesive.
New dual cure technologies allow full cure in shadowed areas, and offer reduced shrinkage to control display distortion and eliminate mura. This lead-free, halogen-free solder paste has water-soluble formula and affords flexibility for user to clean board up to 7 days after board assembly. Wall-mounted dispenser is constructed from ABS plastic, and 100% recyclable refill bottles, which hold 15 oz of product, eliminate use of small bottles. Positive Temperature Coefficient materials are self-regulating so that temperature does not rise above set point, and non-linear relationship between voltage and temperature eliminates need for fuse. By foaming up to fill entire cavities and adhering to edges, foam blocks out debris, particulate, teeth, or tools that might damage equipment while remaining flexible enough to allow free movement of hydraulic leg. Water-based, epoxy-acrylic urethane coating will coat any surface it wets during immersion of parts with no limitation as to part size, shape, or density. Solvent- and isocyanate-free, one-part adhesives cure rapidly with exposure to ambient moisture. These anaerobic threadlocker sticks can be used on oil-contaminated surfaces without requiring primers or accelerators and will not leak or drip when carried in pocket, stored in toolbox, or used in overhead applications. Two-part, self-leveling compound is flame retardant when applied in thicknesses as low as 6 mm.
Impact strength and flexibility result in bond lines that withstand stress, vibration, and movement without failure. Flexible, water-based bottle labels maintain bond on moist and cold surfaces and also in presence of condensation on glass.
Loctite® 3191™, 3198™ and 3199™ are low durometer, low modulus and low shrinkage materials that also deliver high tensile and adhesion strength on polarizer films, PMMA, glass and ITO-coated glass to prevent delamination during RA testing.
Ideal for use on glass, PMMA, ITO-coated glass and ITO-coated PET films, these adhesives have a lower cycle time in the manufacturing process and are more resistant to delamination than previous generation products.
For automated assembly processes, Loctite® SF 7191™ is a slow evaporating, high flash point solvent that removes LOCAs that have fully cured after approximately 0.5 to 2 hours of exposure to the cleaner.


The higher gaps normally require that a high viscosity dam is used to increase the edge definition. Temperature stable up to 40°C for one month, paste eliminates requirement for cold packing, overnight shipping, and refrigerated storage.

Non-flammable, non-explosive, and RoHS-compliant, coating contains no toxic heavy metals, very low VOCs, and no APEs or HAPs. Supplied in sausage packs, products experience limited shrinkage on cure and are paintable, making them suitable for applications where aesthetics are important.
Used in concert with ECI 5000 Series, Loctite NCI 9001 top coat optimizes environmental protection, handling, and UV stability. They are available in variants with high wet tack and ice-water resistance, and can be used with high-speed labeling machines.
