I’ve had quite a few friends also recommend the folks at Barbi Eyelashes if you’re in NYC and without a car to get over the GWB! Below are a few random photos on my honeymoon the 2 weeks following my Glamorous Set extensions without professional makeup and from a sizable distance where I think you can still see the dramatic effect they have!

Difference Between Mink And Silk Eyelash Extensions Reviews - Minki Lashes September 7, 2016 HOMECONTACTBEAUTY DIRECTORY Minki Lashes The best e-magazine for all things eye makeup: from false eyelashes and mink eyelash extensions, to makeup trends, eye makeup ideas, tips, tutorials and eye makeup ingredients safety assessment and false eyelash glue reviews! I’ll be showing you a temporary version of eyelash extensions that will give you that lush, natural look without the unnecessary risk and expense. We’ll be using individual flare lashes with strip lash glue instead of the traditional semi-permanent individual eyelash glue used to apply eyelash extensions. Important: There is a difference between the glue that I’ll be using and the glue that extensions experts use. If you need to brush up on your adhesive knowledge, read our sensational post on strip lash glue vs. Choose dark tone strip lash adhesive if you’re applying black lashes, clear tone for brown. When applying, try to refrain from any excessive eye movements while you wait for the adhesive to dry since constant opening and closing of the eyes may warp how the lash extensions set. Select the length you want to use on your outermost corner (I chose Medium Black) and squeeze a bit of your strip lash adhesive where you can quickly and easily dip the knotted ends of your individual lashes.
Looking down into a mirror, place the first knot on the outermost corner of your eye, making sure the knot is flush with your skin and not just clinging to your lash follicle.
Without placing the knots too close to each other, repeat steps 2 and 3 and work your way inwards until you’ve covered the outer third of your eye. On the outermost corner of my eye, I used Elegant Lashes® Flare Medium Black individual lashes and filled in the empty spaces with Elegant Lashes® Flare Short Black individual lashes. This process may seem long and arduous at first, but don’t get frustrated – it’s totally worth it and really not as hard as it looks. Now for some headshots to show you the overall effect that longer lashes can have on someone.
If you’re itching to ask any questions regarding how to apply your own eyelash extensions or want to add your own tips, let me know in the comment section below! If i get this method down pat, would it be stupid to try the surgical glue for lashes to last through a vacation?? You can always use individual lash adhesive to achieve a semi-permanent hold that will last through your vacation, but that’ll require a different method from what I wrote in here. Hi Bonnie, I did not realize I was buying my lashes from YOU and was actually on your website when I recommended using only Elegant Lashes. It would be so nice if someone would come up with a glue that holds a little longer than the strip adhesive and was safe for the skin. Sorry to hear that, Ingrid =( It sounds like the glue being used for your individual lashes was either too heavy for your eyelashes or the removal process was too harsh.
Would be very nice if you also post here how to use the other technique (using individual lash glue).

This looks cool, but since it doesn’t last any longer, when would this be a better choice than my usual strip lashes? I live in sunny Southern California so I honestly don't have much experience with humidity. For beginners, use any CLEAR strip lash glue so make sure your lashes look as natural as possible. Just remember to make sure you’re buying strip lash adhesive – not individual lash adhesive!
Eyelash extensions are applied with an adhesive that dries soft allowing lashes to stay flexible and natural looking. Everything you need to know about false lashes, from the smart & sassy lash expert at Elegant Lashes®! Olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil and castor oil are common ingredients for making your lash longer. I love false lashes and have become quite the expert in applying the strips all by myself with a lil glue and slight of hand.
Your eyes look so much wider and bigger," says Asuka Miyajima, 24, who works for a fashion firm. Everybody’s getting them, everybody’s talking about them, and everybody’s going gaga over them.
This method is widely used by makeup artists for brides and “natural look” photo shoots and is completely customizable to your tastes and needs. DO NOT attempt to follow along if you’re going to be using individual lash adhesive because that’s a whole ‘nother story.
Think of your extensions as your finishing touch and hold off from doing them until the very end of your makeup routine.
I’m using a tray of individual flare lashes that I’ve used before and just squeezed out a dot of glue into one of the empty notches. Too much adhesive on the knots will make your eyelashes look messy, even with clear tone glue, so try to use only as much as you need. You can always fill in the empty spaces with the longest length again to put more emphasis on length while providing overall volume from root to tip (and not just at the base). Continue to apply the lashes along the rest of your eye, using the middle length for the middle third of your eye and the shortest length for the inner third of your eye.
Aside from the hairstyle being slightly different, I did absolutely nothing else to change my look except to add some extensions to my eyes.
And if you found this post helpful, don’t forget to “Like” on Facebook, Share with friends, and Tweet away using the handy buttons below! The main difference between this temporary DIY method I showed (aside from the glue formula, of course) is that when you apply your lashes with semi-permanent glue, the false lashes are bound to your own eyelash hairs instead of onto the actaual eyelid. I did try it myself using clear glue (for individual) , but somehow the glue is not really clear, it looked like plastic residue on my lashes, it looked ugly.
Julie continuously uses a fan to make sure any fumes are whisked away from your sensitive eyes during the process. You’ll need to keep the lashes even and straight, otherwise they can start to turn or separate in strange ways like seen in the above photo as I was nearing the 2 week mark.
Better yet, there is absolutely no commitment required – you can remove the extensions easily along with the rest of your makeup at the end of the day without worrying about maintenance and costly touch-ups.

Your newly acclaimed knowledge will help you make wiser and more informed decisions and you’ll be glad you did it! Individual eyelash adhesive is NOT meant to come into contact with your skin – only your lashes. For the most natural look, try to shimmy your lash extensions between your natural lashes. Fill in empty spaces as you need using either a shorter length or the same length.  Notice how I did not apply any lashes along the innermost corner of my eye? Like I said in the post, it does takes longer to apply than strip lashes, but it really does give you a more natural outcome since the lashes are applied amongst your natural lashes instead of on top. So when someone told me about an eyelash extension salon in the tri state that’s being hailed as the best in the business I had to check it out. I truly believe what makes this salon different than others you may have tried with those endless Groupon’s or Living Social deals is the expertise of Julie and her other girls. Eyelashes do not grow in a neat single-file line, so take advantage of this fact by placing the knot where it can be hidden within the forest of your natural lashes. This creates more volume at the base of the lash while keeping the length a bit more subtle.
If you have a small crease or have monolids, do what I did and leave the innermost corners empty. I’m pretty good at doing it on my own eyes, but when it comes to doing it on someone else’s, they get a really weird result with twisted lashes everywhere ha!! You will need the individual lash glue if you want a more semi-permanent hold, but as I said in the post, it will require a slightly different technique. I know this brings us back to the problem where you feel strip lash glues just don’t provide a long enough hold, but at least it gets rid of the snake eyes problem! When you use in individual lash glue for longer wear, that’s when you want to attach to the natural eyelash itself.
It’s really hard to do on your own which is why I provided this temporary and easier method.
Be kind to your lashes by massaging the eyelids with the grapeseed oil too which can stimulate the hair follicles which help to grow stronger a lash.
The owner Julie is incredible and it was easy to see why she’s so highly recommended. The closer to your lash line the better because your own lashes will cover the knots on the individual flares. That way, when you open your eyes, your eyelid will not push the extensions down, making your eyes look sleepy and half-closed.
Try practicing with individual single lashes using the method I showed in the video and once you feel comfortable, try again with the lashes you have.
Any time I go for a facial, the aesthetician always remarks on how perfectly placed they are (and they’ve seen some BAD eyelash extensions up close so they know the difference).
They are on a strip but just fall apart when removed with my tweezers What do you reccommend?
