El mes pasado me vinieron a preguntar varias personas que consumian cada dia omeprazol, si tenian que seguir tomandolo. Uno de los temas por los que mas tengo que dar explicaciones en la consulta, es el por que no les recomiendo a todos mis pacientes que tomen protectores de estomago, aunque tomen muchas pastillas.
Comencemos por saber como actuan los antiacidos (a partir de ahora dejare de llamarlo protectores de estomago). Antiacidos "no absorbibles", lo entrecomillo pues aunque la mayor parte de la dosis no se absorbe y tienen una accion local en el estomago, pequenas cantidades de aluminio o magnesio si que lo hacen. Sales de aluminio como el algedrato, pueden provocar estrenimiento, tiene un efecto mas mantenido.
Sales de Magnesio como hidroxido de magnesio, puede dar diarrea, tienen un efecto mas rapido pero mas corto. Bicarbonato sodico y Cabonato calcico: ambos producen efecto rebote aumentando la secrecion de acido pasado su efecto y pueden producir alcalosis sistemica.
Inhibidores de la bomba de protones (IBP): Omeprazol, Esomeprazol, Pantoprazol, Lansoprazol y Rabeprazol. Por otro lado, tampoco hay que agobiarse, no todo en al digestion depende del acido del estomago, pero si no los necesitamos, evitemoslos. Osteoporosis y aumento del riesgo de fracturas de cadera, muneca y columna, especialmente en pacientes con mas de 1 ano de tratamiento. Deficiencias de vitamina B12, que puede ocasionar anemia y alteraciones neurologicas, incluida un tipo de demencia. Infecciones gastrointestinales por bacterias patogenas como el Clostridium Difficile, por la supresion de la barrera acida defensiva que puede alterar el equilibrio de la flora intestinal. Aumento del riesgo de neumonias por aspiracion de secreciones con sobrecrecimiento bacteriano. Seria prudente en personas que tienen que tomar inhibidores de la secrecion gastrica hacer controles anuales de vitamina B12, magnesio, hierro-anemia y a partir de una edad, en personas con riesgo de osteoporosis se podria valorar hacer densitometrias de forma periodica (cada 2-5 anos), aunque no hay por el momento ninguna recomendacion al respecto que yo conozca. Un a observacion, antes de tratar a mujeres con osteoporosis con farmacos con potenciales efectos secundarios graves, revisemos si es que toman antiacidos de forma cronica e innecesaria. However If you combine food correctly you will be able to almost exercise intimidate and the food will be ingested without slowing you down. One of the best indicators of correct food combining will be your final act of digestion also know as defecation. There are different food groups and they contain macronutrients that need different process to digest! If you eat starchy food the digestion starts in your mouth where you must chew your food (there is no other place where food will be made in smaller chucks!!), Your saliva will release amylase containing ptyalin. When you swallow your food it goes to your stomach where the pH will be different depending on what your want to digest. To digest proteins your stomach will release the enzyme Pepsin that will need an gastric acidic pH optimum.
So eating both starchy food together with proteins, will be a bad combination and will be hard to digest. To digest fats or oils your stomach will need an acid environment and it will delay digestion for a few hours.
So that are the basics of food combining and natural hygiene, just search the internet and you will find a lot more information (less then I expected thought!) The pioneers are William Howard Hay (1866-1940) and Dr. With our education and social behaviour it seems very hard to live a life with correct food combining. Me sorprendio la facilidad que me dieron para desprescribir, pero ambas personas que queria dejarlo necesitaban tomarlo de forma cronica. Por eso hoy voy a hablar de ellos con bastante extension, tanta que lo he separado en dos partes. Son los mas indicados en caso de ardores puntuales y de embarazo y deberian de seguirse usando aunque ahora no entren financiados. For example I can now eat a more then 800gram raw vegetable stew (without additional water) and start my exercise and have energy throughout the complete intensity exercise.
If you body has digested what you eat correctly your stool will be small, odourless, and compact! If you mix food groups that need different circumstances some part of your food will not digested and other parts will be digested less efficiently and the process can take a lot of your energy.

This made me wonder a lot about the natural combination in some nuts because they contain both fat and proteins in high amounts. Keep the food combining principles as baseline when eating at home and when I eat somewhere else I just enjoy my food as it comes!

I am also amassed that with all our medical advances there is so little real education on what correct food can do to the human body. No wonder that these cells are stuffed with mitochondria and are extravagant consumers of energy. Thus large globules of fat (liquid at body temperature) are emulsified into tiny droplets (about 1 µm in diameter) that can be more easily digested and absorbed.

So, pigs have faster time to fully digest and, therefore, pigs can consume more nutrients, so they have better digestive system.
Then, the absorption of nutrients will happen better since tinier pieces have more surface area to absorb from. Another organ to look at is the large intestine of the pigs.(“Chapter 5”) It helps the pigs to digest fiber in plants, which are the few food they have problems with when eating.
Cows do not have any of these functions in there body and they are herbivores (animals that can only eat plants), so there are not many toxins they will have to deal with.
