I just wanted to verify that I can store the soak in a covered bowl to use as I go so I won’t have to continually have to make a new batch and just how frequently you actually applied this to your toes?
For the first time I’m actually excited that I just might get rid of this junk I got from getting a pedicure that I will NEVER allow myself to indulge in ever again. I even took a sample clipping to the Doctor (as asked) but they couldn’t find out what it was.
Out of desperation, I got a cotton wool ball and taped it to my toe, then drenched it in Cider Vinegar, taped it over and left it all night. Then I set about my toe determinedly filing with an emery as close as I could get (without hurting myself) I spent around half an hour, filing, filing, filing.
Then, having filed away as much as you can – make sure you use the preparation REGULARLY as instructed.
Of course, it had to be the big toe, and the nail on that seems even thicker due to the fungus, I think it expands the nail as it is very hard to file.
So every couple of weeks I just resign myself to sitting for a long time, gently and carefully filing off as much as I dare. If I run out of preparation I tape some cotton wool and cider vinegar to it and leave it on all night, if I wake during the night I top it up so it remains soaked.
Anyway, good luck, it is a pig of a thing to get rid off, takes a lot longer than the medication suggests. Instead of using a load in a basin, try taping cotton wool to your toe instead, then throw it away.
