Get involved! Make sure that not only you are taking part in the team's activities, both in and out of work (i.e in social settings as well as the usual office setting). Its important that people see you're involved, it shows that you care about the team, it's objectives and its members. It is also is vital to make sure that everyone else is involved. If one person doesn't pull their weight it can seriously affect moral as well as, of course, the team's performance. To make sure people get involved make sure that everyone is clear about the interest they should be sharing in a commonly held target for the whole team.
