has "Classic Status" pending. Its attraction
creeps up on you in a modest way. You see the cliches,
you can find its formulaic nature but still you have to
watch it and more importantly love it. Having seen the
premier Arnie commented how his day was ending on a high
note thanks to the movie. And this is after heart
surgery? Arnie must have been happy!
You will walk out of the cinema with a bounce in your step and a grin on your face. So what's it all about? Add one serving of Clooney, stir gently with Pfeiffer, sprinkle with two cute kids and you have the most sweet and delicious pudding ever. Two single parents (Clooney and Pfeiffer) have a cute kid each, Clooney plays a journalist while Pfeiffer is an architect. Thanks to Clooney's disorganisation the kids end up missing the school strip and so the parents end up juggling kids on the one day which both their future careers rely. Mobile phone muddle ups, ex-husbands, rain and cats all come into play to cause various forms of havoc and heart-break. The movie is packed with a wonderful melange of hilarious moments, tender times and romance.
I really don't want to say any more or I'll spoil it but lets say that the way things are going it looks Clooney can do no wrong. Oh and Pfeiffer remains gorgeous! Just go and see it now and you'll have a nice day! |
