-To view all your computers various devices, right click on 'my computer', select properties, then click on the device manager tab.

-Win'95 versions????? To see what version of windows '95 you have, as before right click on my computer, and select properties. There should be a line which starts '4.00.95..'. This is the version number.
Here is a list of what all the version numbers, and what the mean.

4.00.950 - The Original version of win'95 (Aug '95)
4.00.950a - This is the Update (summer '96), it fixes a few rare problems, but is good to have just incase you experience on of these. (You can download this off the Microsoft web site)
4.00.950B - This is the newest release of Windows '95 (Early 97). It has a new file managing system (FAT32 instead of FAT16), various bug fixes, and includes Internet Explorer 3. Unfortunately at present you can not up-date to it from another version of win'95, you must buy another machine. MS did however say that there might be a version which current uses of win'95 can upgrade too, but it will definitely not include FAT32.

Software tip of the month:

-To make Internet browsing faster use your ISP's (Internet Service Provider) proxy. To do this in Netscape, click on the Options toolbar item, then go to network preferences. Now make sure 'Manual Proxy Configuration' has been checked, and then click on 'View'. Now in the HTTP Proxy box type the address of your ISP's proxy (you will have to ask them for this), and enter in the port which they give you (it will most likely be 8080).
