Everybody in a well organized team has their own responsibilities. Each has been designated their own area of specialization, the bit they run. Its THEIR bit and they take pride in its performance. As its their bit it reflects on them if it does well.
If someone else in the team starts taking over, trying to do things for the other team member, things can go horribly wrong. The conquering teamster is effectively saying "You're not good enough at this, let me do it as I'm better."
Try and concentrate on your own area. I'm sure there's plenty to be a-doing!
