Fortunately, when it comes to our brains, there are things that we can do to give Mother Nature a helping hand. Since meditation is a deeply personal experience, you might think that its benefits would be limited to our own minds and bodies.

When our internal world is in balance with the external world, compassion comes easily and we are able to build deeper relationships with others. It increases our self-awareness, helps us to reduce stress, keeps our brains healthy and helps us to build healthy relationships. This two-part free seminar entitled The Secrets of Happiness, presented by Swiss psychologist Kailash Beyer on 19 and 20 November, will give you some insights and strategies that will make happiness not only attainable but eminently liveable! You’re right in saying that staying happy is ultimately up to the individual employee, and that companies need to do their part to uncover opportunities for frequent recognition and other ways to increase engagement.
