I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday about the state of men in Asia and how they are raised and treated differently in Asia then they are in North America and Europe. In some Asian cultures there are child or baby grooms going back to tradition that were married when they are nine or ten years old to fourteen year old girls. Boys in Asia for the most part have been so prized through history that they get babied by their mothers. That's why my friend says that as an Asian woman she is more interested in Western men. Because according to her Asian men have a hard time doing things for themselves because they have been taken care of most of their lives and haven't learned responsibility or how to do things for themselves. They have been babied. I also brought up the question of salary men in Japan and she told me that the reason men in Japan are given strict allowances in Japan is because they were never properly raised to manage money because taking care of money is something more female dominated. Men were kept this way so they don't know how to do seemingly anything for themselves and the only thing they are pushed to do is work and provide a paycheck and work from seven am to ten pm at night. That's what she told me. And it's a perspective that many of us haven't heard before. The whole idea of baby grooms is insane. To take a man before he's a man and put him with a teenage girl
that takes over the duties of his mother as well as the sexual duties once he reaches his teenage years is to stunt his development as a man. My belief is that Asian women are scared at the power found inside of independent Asian men. And it's like Asian women are trying to make sure that men never have true self respect and independence. She told me this is one of the big issues she has with Asian men. Many of them can be emotionally stunted because of that babying they receive and many of them can be very loud, obnoxious and vulgar because they have been spoiled through their formative years. Effectively they are big spoiled babies. And they have to listen to their mothers and wives and achieve at work so that the women can continue to spoil them at home. Again a lot of this is her opinion but I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks.
