Six first-inning runs helped the Outer Banks Daredevils to a 6-2 win over the Tidewater Drillers at TowneBank OBX Park on Monday. The Daredevils scored in the first on a wild pitch, an RBI single by Adam Whitacre (Radford U), an RBI double by Brent West (Urbanna U), a groundout by Damario Brown (Urbanna U), and a two-run single by Kyle Vidano (Averett U). Daredevils reliever Colby Rudis (Frederick CC) got the hold with 2 innings of one run ball, and Eamonn Collins (Tusculum College) picked up the save for the Daredevils in his two innings of shut out ball. A solo home run by Harry Brown (James Madison U) put the Drillers on the board in the top of the second, and an RBI single by Alex Abbey (Christopher Newport U) drove in Jordan Mason (Christopher Newport U) in the 7th inning, but in it was not enough to overcome the Daredevils big first inning.
Ryan Williams (Pitt CC) collected three hits as the Outer Banks Daredevils took home a 7-2 victory over the Greenbrier Knights at TowneBank OBX Park on Thursday. Outer Banks Daredevils never trailed after Demario Brown (Urbanna U), who reached base with a single, scored on a fielding error following a Brian Remaley (Anne Arundel CC) single.
The Daredevils defense was anchored by a strong performance by shortstop Demario Brown (Urbanna U) who had 11 put outs in 11 chances, included a great double play.
After eight lead changes in Monday’s game at TowneBank OBX Park, the Outer Banks Daredevils finally pulled out a 7-6 win over Greenbrier Knights.

The bottom of the first saw the Daredevils take an early lead, 1-0 when Jay Golliday (Campbell U) singled, stole second base, and then scored on an RBI single by Adam Whitacre (Radford U).
Outer Banks Daredevils pitching and strong defense held off the Greenbrier Knights, as the Knights were unable to overcome a two-run sixth inning deficit. Joshua King (Bethel College) got the start for the Knights, and went 5 innings, yielding 6 hits, 4 runs while striking out 7.

The Drillers managed just three hits off of Lipscomb, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work and picking up the win. The Daredevils’ pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits, picking up the win. Adam Whitacre (Radford U) opened the scoring in the frame after drawing a lead off walk, and was joined crossing the plate that inning by Brent West (Urbanna U), Demario Brown (Urbanna U) and Ryan Creps (Canisius College). The Daredevils tied the game in the third on an RBI single by Jack Downum (Chowan U) that scored Whitacre.

More runs came home on a sacrifice fly by Adam Whitacre (Radford U) an RBI single by Jay Golliday (Campbell U),  and a bases loaded walk by Chris Childress (Urbanna U) that scored Ryan Creps (Canisius College) and gave the Daredevils the lead for good.
The Knights offense was powered by Chase Counts (Hampden-Sydney College) who went 2 for 6 with a run scored, and Garrett Marchand (James Madison U) who went 2 – 4 with a run scored.
