With terms like ‘organic’ and ‘all natural’ becoming more and more prominent, it’s difficult to tell whether organic foods are actually any better than traditionally grown and raised foods. Organic food is food that is grown or raised without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, antibiotics or hormones.
According to the National Institute of Health, a healthy diet should consist of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, fat-free or low-fat dairy products, lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts. The farmers who grow organic crops use different techniques to keep pests from bothering their crops. You’re going to have to read the labels on things and get used to reading the ingredients.


Free Range – This label technically means that the animals were able to roam outside, but the tricky part is knowing how much room they really got.
