If you want to experience the ultimate beach vacation getaway in the Caribbean, you should head to Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands. The view of the beach is breathtaking enough, but the numerous activities that you can do in the water will also take your breath away—literally.
Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands has many restaurants and bars that serve great food and rinks.
From her journey since her independence in 1965, to the current status as a world cosmopolitan city living, Singapore prided herself as a Garden City, with many trees, flowers and grassland in the midst among the concrete jungle, especially along the roads and living community areas. Along with the 20th World Orchid Conference held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, visitors to the World Orchid Conference are able to visit the Gardens By the Bay for a special preview, behind Marina Bay Sands, at the former Marina South Park.
Do you notice a few very special structure that stands out, it’s very unique and specially designed ? The Conservatory Complex, 2 unique and beautiful architectural icons – Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, the Flower Dome was opened for visitors to enter and they were treated to a magnificent beauty of different Gardens within the Flower Dome Garden.
This is just like many different beautiful oasis of plants, trees, flowers and natural beauty within a giant oasis! I am looking forward to June 2012, to warmly and officially welcome the grand opening of Gardens By The Bay !!! Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email. Gardens by the Bay is the latest Singaporean attraction, and after going there, I can definitely see why! I had the privilege of going on a guided tour of the gardens, and I thought I  will share with everyone some fun facts and insights about the gardens. Besides the lovely flowers on display, which will be changed every season, the climate within the dome is wonderfully cool. The trip is really educational for the kids as well.Besides getting up close with the beautiful flowers, they get to see strawberries as well!  Nathan was definitely in all smiles on our visit to the conservatory. The Cloud Forest takes you on a mountain top experience, as you walk up to a mountain of exotic plants found in a tropical mountain region.
One of the interesting plants that you will find at the top of the Cloud mountain are the Venus Flytraps!
The Carnivorous plants made popular by many cartoons and the “Little Shop of Horrors” is on display and much smaller that painted by Hollywood. As there are so many facts about the conservatory to absorb, an interesting option will be the guided tour around the conservatory.

And lastly you have to walk on over to the SuperTree Grove, which has the accompanying OCBC Skyway to really give one a Top of the World Experience. With the Panoramic Skywalk,  I managed to  take a shot of the Conservatory, and not forgetting the iconic MBS as well! Nathan was a bit scared of the walkway, as you can look all the way down from the metal gratings.
An interesting thing about the bridge, is that the skyway has the largest collection of “DONT’s” in one location! The Gardens are definitely a different sight at night, and one should stay till nightfall to catch a different perspective of the SuperTrees. I went to the flower dome before it was open as part of the Orchid Convention freebie (or something like that) and was blown over but haven’t had the chance of going for the complete Gardens by the Bay experience yet. They form part of the Gardens By The Bay project, a massive A?350million development in the city's Marina Bay area.Fitted with solar panels, hanging gardens and rainwater catches, the trees will be used to display plants from across the globe.
A vast green space is also to be created in the area under plans to make Singapore the 'botanical capital of the world'.Once completed, the park will house a cluster of green conservatories and will also become home to the Singapore Garden Festival.

You can find tropical palms swaying in the wind, crystal blue water, gleaming white sand, and a bright and sunny weather.
If you want to try the favorite food in Cane Garden Bay, you should eat at Myett’s, Elm, and Quito’s.
Visitors to Singapore are amazed at the greenery within such a small land space along with her highly densely populated land usage. Even at this junction in time, Gardens By The Bay is not fully completed, visitors to the Gardens By The Bay – Bay South were not left disappointed and many were mesermised by aura, beauty, greenery and abundance of different trees and flowers from different parts of the world. They are known as the SuperTree Grove, 25m to 50m high, they are your Gardens in the air, vertical gardens, showcasing tropical flowering climbers, epiphytes and ferns. The Flower Dome replicates the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean and semi-arid subtropical regions like South Africa and Europe countries such as Spain and Italy. When the Gardens By The Bay is officially opened in June 2012, it will only get more beautiful and definitely an iconic Garden Landscape in the region and around the world too! I’m already thinking about coming back to Asia next summer, probably Singapore will be one of the stops. There are 2 conservatories (Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) each featuring different climates and a MUST SEE!

Therefore, you will be protected from the humility of the Singapore heat, and the kids will therefore love that! A eye-catching feature in this conservatory is the man-made waterfall, which brings  an immediate cool breeze as you enter the conservatory.
Our guide also told us that the skyway moves when it is windy, as it is supported by the cables. Featured in The Business Times, Channel News Asia and on Radio 93.8, ED has delivered numerous talks about Parenting in today's society and is constantly striving to become a BETTER Parent. The place is picture perfect and you can’t help but wonder if the background is the one usually used in post cards. A week-long visit will not be enough to do all the things that you want to do in Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands.
If you are craving for home-style food, you can go to Stanley’s which serves “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” Just the name will make your mouth water. Another awesome beauty is, when the night falls, they will come alive with very beautiful lightings and projected media. The Flower Dome is a VERY AMAZING icon, over 3,332 glass panels of different shapes and sizes made this so beautiful, unique and special!!
Stay tuned of Gardens By The Bay development with updates from the Gardens By The Bay website, National Parks Singapore and Marina Bay Singapore Facebook. The final place that you must visit is the OCBC Skyway, which offers stunning views of the whole Gardens with the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in the background. So, if you are planning for an outing to the Gardens, it will cost $33 per adult and $15 per child.
