Was there ever a point in this competition where you were unsure you were going to win or your confidence was shaken the most?
There were a couple of weeks during the season towards the middle where I had a couple of bad weeks back to back. What is your advice for next season’s ‘Food Network Star’ competitors or anyone that wants to host their own show on the network?
That’s why I think the three people who were left, from day one, were consistent on the show with themselves in front of the camera. I played professional football and hardly ever was recognized because I always had a helmet on.
I spent most of last week’s Food Network Star recap raging against the Great Bob and Susie Bait-and-Switch of 2015. Jay, the guy who spent all season making Cajun fare, is now your tour guide through… Deep-Fried America? We got a few minutes devoted to the aforementioned pilots, however, and Jay’s placement as first-at-bat told my reality-competition-veteran heart that he was destined to lose.
Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. I think sending Giada to Italy to cook that new series with her (Napoli?) relatives is silly.
The eleventh season of Food Network Star has been a jam-packed thrill ride, full of some of the best cooking and most vibrant personalities the show has ever given us. Unfortunately, we’re at that terrible, wonderful moment when only one chef–and not all of the final three–can indeed become the next Food Network star. Dom, Eddie, and Jay are all active on social media, and have large (and growing) followings.
Hmmm–of the three, Dom is the only one to share something that might, potentially, look a little bit like a hint, potentially. TP: There have been so many categories of outrageous food on this season, it’s hard to pick just one.
PH: Tell us in a couple of sentences why folks should watch this new show and what they can expect.


Q: How well do you think Aarti’s Indian influence of American dishes will go over with the viewer?
Susie: I think people are really curious about this cuisine you know, I think it’s a really hot time which obviously from a marketing stand point was what one of the things that was appealing about Aarti to me.
The Final Four made it to New York City, where they would be duking it out for real to see who would have their own show on Food Network.
Anyway, this episode began with Giada asking the chefs to make their signature dishes and to present them on camera in a one-minute presentation.

He talked to Zap2it about what he’s learned from his experience on the reality show and what he hopes to accomplish in his first season as a Food Network host.
I got down on myself but being the competitor that I am, I just looked myself in the mirror and said, “Get yourself together. When Bob weighed in that Eddie is Food Network ready because he clearly loves delicious treats but still manages to maintain his former pro-athelte physique, you knew how this was gonna end.
This affects a lot of things… I could see that she also did not have her usual sparkle.
Apparently she has clout, they will film there, so she could have a nice vacation with the fam after divorcing her hubby. Once theThanksgiving shows were very well done, really helped, the recipes and demos were great. Maybe it happened to you, but I’m sure minorities get the same treatment all the time, especially in certain areas in this country, where people discriminate and try to keep minorities out of their communities and workplaces.
The hosts have been as laudatory as possible–Bobby Flay went so far as to call the twelve contestants the most talented Food Network Star group, period. Which is why it was downright shocking to see him falter in his presentation last week–and not at all surprising when he bounced back with a jubilant pilot, one we’ll hopefully get to see in full tonight.
His food has earned praise from Bobby, Giada, and every one of the guest judges–and it was particularly telling that almost every single exit interview from eliminated contestants mentioned Dom among the best chefs on the show. Flay’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts are completely silent, Food Network Star-wise.


We’ll have to watch the finale to find out who gets crowned the next Food Network star. Spray tans, flippers, and cheating allegations are apparently just the status quo these days as pageant moms and coaches have stepped up their toddler glam game with meditation classes, private jets, and…collagen?! Aarti’s show was already on and doing very well, and the network decided to move forward with me on this great new project. There are many outrageous places to highlight across the country, and this season features a great group.
A few that stand out: Outlaw Catering, the 105-pound burger, and the $175 burger at Wall Street Burger Shoppe.
You will meet engaging and entertaining characters at each location; it’s going to be mayhem!
But I think Aarti has the credibility with this cuisine with these flavor profiles but she’s sorta of Americanized enough to figure out how to bring those flavors to foods.
I think it is something that would highlight my personality and something I’m familiar with.
Eventually, the real person is going to come out and that’s what people want to see — what you’re really like and who you really are. She is so aggressive kind of wolfish teethy smile, I think she dresses as if she is a high schooler, with seduction on her mind. We can hope he gains enough momentum to star in other programs, I still want a Caribbean kitchen show from him.
I’m just sick that the best candidate lost out to someone who was ok but not nearly as good as Jay.
Jay was great too and I think he will probably still end up with some kind of show on the Food Network.
That’s what I heard her just mentioning Indian flavors to American food, and I think that’s the right order of operations potentially for a new audience to try new flavors. I think that’s what I tried to do throughout the whole season every time I stepped in front of the camera.
