Appointment of new Joint Managing Director

Krishna Ramachandra has been appointed to the post of Joint Managing Director of Arfat Selvam Alliance LLC.
Welcoming his appointment, Arfat Selvam said: "I am delighted to welcome Krishna as the new Joint Managing Director of our law firm. This appointment reflects our firm’s commitment to further rejuvenation of leadership talent and expanding our capabilities in Singapore. Krishna brings with him a wealth of expertise, both as a leader and a transaction lawyer."
Krishna joined the firm in 2005 as a Director and has been heading the funds and capital markets division of the firm. He advises local and offshore investment funds, investment banks, listed and private companies in Asia, Europe and the US on a wide range of equity and debt securities issues, financial services, regulatory issues and on mergers, acquisitions and take-overs.

Krishna graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge with an LL.M. in Corporate Finance on a Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Freshfields scholarship. He then did his articleship with Freshfields in London and subsequently qualified with Freshfields, practising as a corporate finance lawyer, with a particular emphasis in telecommunications, media and technology (TMT). Krishna subsequently relocated to Singapore in 2002 and joined Clifford Chance, specialising in corporate and capital markets work covering the South and Southeast Asian region. He left Clifford Chance in September 2005 to join Arfat Selvam Alliance. He has since been consistently cited in various publications as a leader in his field of expertise.
Reflecting on his appointment, Krishna said: "I am very excited at the prospect of leading Arfat Selvam Alliance LLC as it continues to maintain its position as one of Singapore’s leading corporate law firms and I look forward to expanding our presence in Singapore."
