SPR Training provides First Aid Training Courses and other training courses at our training suite in Airdrie or at your premises accross Scotland.
We are an AoFAQ Approved Training Cente - AoFAQ are a regonised Ofqual Awarding Body and offer NVQ Certificates in First Aid and other Health & Safety related courses.

This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers of yacht and motor vessels. The RYA First Aid Course is designed to cover many of the possible situations where accidents may happen that could occur whilst being on First the water.
It is also a requirement for those taking Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster exams to have attended an RYA First Aid course or equivalent.
The RYA first Aid Course covers several different areas to the normal HSE first Aid and is geared to marine users with slightly more information, than the HSE first Aid course. This one-day course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers. We will attempt to explain the broad, and sometimes confusing, range of sailing courses available.
It fulfils the requirements for skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven. This First Aid Course covers items from how to resuscitate someone to how to treat minor cuts.
On completion of the course you will qualify for the RYA First Aid Certificate which is valid for 3 years from time of issue.
