Keeping with the video game adaptations trend, news has come out regarding a very independent film version of the wildly popular game series, Myst.
Filmmakers Patrick McIntire and Adrian Vanderbosch have spent the past four years getting this project moving, including a whole lot of persuading to Rand Miller, who created Myst. They now have a website going which basically will keep fans up to date on all of the goings on every day; head over to the Myst Motion Picture page if you’re a salivating fan who wants to stay right on track with this project!
The movie will not be a true adaptation of the games, though — it will be based on three novels about the world, namely The Book of Ti’ana. The story looks at an impressive civilization that has the ability to create and travel to many different worlds and the insertion of an outside element in the form of Anna, who one day shows up in the city and throws off the tight that is how they do things and illuminates some unseen issues.
