To develop applications on the Azure platform, you will need to get the necessary toolset downloaded and installed. Once you do this, Visual Studio 2010 does its code-behind and generates the item shown in Figure 4 within Solution Explorer. This is a service configuration file and contains settings for all roles offered by the Azure service.
You can toggle to the design view of default.aspx to see if you like the layout and make any change you deem fit. Once you Ctrl+F5, Visual Studio readies the project to deploy to the emulator as shown in Figure 6. Microsoft updated its Hyper-V Replica feature for Windows Server 2012 R2, but do you know how these changes can affect your RTO and recovery options?

Reduction in overall RTO: When using Hyper-V Replica, the primary objective is to reduce the time it takes to restore business services. Generation 2 VMs and Hyper-V Replica: Microsoft introduced Generation 2 VMs in Hyper-V 2012 R2. Extra layer of protection: Microsoft introduced the extended replication feature in Hyper-V running on Windows Server 2012 R2 hosts.
It is worth mentioning that Hyper-V 2012 R2 supports replication for newer Linux distributions and provides VHD-level consistent snapshots that you can use to recover a Replica VM running a Linux operating system. A daily digest of IT news, curated from blogs, forums and news sites around the web each morning. The holiday season is often a time for reflection and strategizing for the coming year.  I worry about 2 things. The Onion is making fun of big tech companies who talk about “the cloud.”  This is fascinating to me. Depiction of ICT deployment models and evolving degrees of accountability for different services. For Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), applications, runtimes, and security and integration are managed by the CIO (chief information officer). This figure is a depiction of the GC-Cloud conceptual which illustrates the relationships between parts of the GC-Cloud and some of their services.

The external community (hybrid) cloud is a secured extension of GCnet to vendors and consists of vendor-provided cloud services to the GC.
The GC community cloud (GCnet) is separated from the internet at large and the external community cloud by a secured perimeter (firewalls). HP-UX, AIX, Solaris, and MCP platforms will be phased out over the course of the transformation and their workloads will be migrated to Linux on x86 or Windows platforms.
In this model, deployments must be managed and service-level agreements (SLAs) must be managed in a multi-service provider environment. This diagram illustrates options for data centre platform technologies, specifically, the technology landscape, represented as layers.
Taking the previous figure description, an example of data centre platform technologies demonstrates the route that Java application hosting would take through the examples provided in the previous diagram. Eight use cases for platform technologies are listed with their corresponding operating systems (OS). As soon as you click OK, you are prompted to select the type of roles for the Azure application as shown in Figure 2. When you hover your mouse over the selected role, you are prompted to determine if you would like to delete it or rename it. See the highlighted section of the next code listing to see what you need to change in default.aspx.
In its first release with Windows Server 2012, Hyper-V Replica provided a number of great backup and recovery features. Restoring business continuity depends on two things: How fast a replica VM can come online and how much data you would need to restore to bring replica VM up to date.
Since Generation 2 VMs offer faster boot, it helps you bring up the replica VM as quickly as possible.
In Hyper-V 2012 R2, you can select between 30 seconds, five minutes and 15 minutes as the replication interval. You can keep a maximum of 15 recovery copies in Windows Server 2012 and was increased to 24 in Hyper-V 2012 R2.
With the extended replication feature, you can extend replication of a VM to a third site which allows you to recover a VM in case both the primary and replica servers are impacted by a disaster.
If you reside outside of the United States, you consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States. First, people who wait until the holidays to start thinking about their goals for the coming year are already too late.  Second, people who change their goals and strategies every year are never going to get anywhere. What’s funny is how the technological advancements are reflected in the job market and the trajectory of IT careers.

You know a topic has completely saturated our culture when it becomes satirized in mainstream media like this.
Database Management Services (DBMS), servers, virtualization, server hardware, storage, and network are managed by SSC. Runtimes, security and integration, DBMS, servers, virtualization, server hardware, storage, and network are managed by SSC. The GC-Cloud includes the Internet (public cloud), external community cloud (hybrid cloud), and GCnet (community cloud).
Hence you will have to restart Visual Studio as elevated in case you did not do so in the first place. Microsofta€™s main focus has been to provide replication features that will help reduce the overall recovery time objective (RTO) for the virtualized workloads and help in workloads at both primary and replica sites. The replica VM is turned off at the replica site, it is brought online during the replication cycle in case of any disasters with primary site or VM.
If you run an application inside the primary VM that performs write operations every few seconds, such a SQL Server, setting a replication interval of 30 seconds will ensure that changes made at the primary VM are replicated to the replica VM as quickly as possible which, in turn, helps reduce the time it takes to recover a VM. All changes that occur at the primary server are copied to the replica server and the replica server, in turn, copies these changes to the extended replica server. It takes less time to bring a Generation 2 replica VM online than it  takes to boot up a Generation 1 VM. For example, if changes are replicated every 30 seconds, you wouldna€™t have to spend much time in bringing the replica VM up to date.
I believe that IT professionals have more opportunity than ever before to contribute real business value and establish themselves as strategic assets.
You could survive 30 seconds data loss, but recovering five minutes of data might take some time. You might not want to set replication frequency of 30 seconds for all everything, but the replication interval can be set per VM.
The three types of hardware are x86, reduced instruction set computing (RISC), and System z.
