This example retrieves the specified Receive connector information and pipes the result to the Add-ADPermission cmdlet to grant relay permission to anonymous connections on the new Receive connector. Before we proceed with an example of how to install an Exchange Server 2010 DAG I will also mention some of the other advantages of Database Availability Groups.
In this tutorial I will demonstrate the installation of an Exchange Server 2010 Database Availability Group on Windows Server 2008 R2. Note: for details of how to deploy these server roles see Installing Exchange Server 2010 Pre-requisites on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Installing Exchange Server 2010.
Note: in Exchange Server 2010 each mailbox database must have a unique name within the organization. When the New Database Availability Group wizard starts give the DAG a name, specify the Witness server, and also specify the file path for the Witness server to use.
Click on the New button to create the new Database Availability Group, and then click Finish to close the wizard.
Right-click the newly created Database Availability Group and choose Manage Database Availability Group Membership. Click the Add button and select the Mailbox servers that you wish to make members of the DAG. Click the Manage button to commence adding the Mailbox servers to the DAG.  This involves installation and configuration of Windows Failover Clustering on the servers, so it can take a few minutes to finish. Select the IP Addresses tab, click the Add button and add a static IP address for the Database Availability Group. You will notice that the Database Availability Group has been automatically configured with DAG networks for the subnets that the DAG members have network interfaces connected to. Open the Properties of each DAG network and configure them with meaningful names.  If you have configured your network to have a dedicated replication network for the DAG then you should disable replication on the DAG network that is intended for MAPI communications (ie client connections). With the Database Availability Group established and the networking configured you can now add mailbox database copies to other DAG members. Click the Add button to add the mailbox database copy and then click Finish to close the wizard. The Exchange servers will now commence seeding the replica servers with an up to date copy of the database and all of the current transaction log files.  Depending on the amount of data to be replicated this may take some time.
Repeat the same process for any other mailbox databases you wish to add database copies for.
This section is taken from Henrik Walter Blog, he has excellent article series also showing DAG in much Details, links to his blog is fallows, Henrik has been good mentor to many of us, not only with technical aspect but also his professionalism in my opinion is top quality.
Before we can install the Exchange 2010 Server roles on the two Windows 2008 R2 servers, we must first make sure the required features and components have been installed. As you can see the Witness Server and Witness directory is not selected, DAG is configured with a witness server and witness directory, the DAG Wizard will search and locate the HTS server and create everything it needs automatically. Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64) and start the System Attendant. During installation of the Mailbox Server a new Exchange Server 2010 Mailbox Database will be automatically created.

If you want to toggle between the System Folders and the normal Public Folders, navigate to the Public Folders, right click the Public Folders and select “View System Folders” or “View Public Folders”.
Note: When the “Manage Settings” option is not available you can select “Properties” and select the replication tab to add the Exchange Server 2010 Public Folder Database. The (default) Public Folder that are located on the Exchange Server 2010 Mailbox Server should be replicated to the Exchange Server 2003 Mailbox Server. Right click the Offline Address Book in the results pane, select Properties and click the Replication tab. Add the Exchange Server 2003 Mailbox Server to the replica list, the contents will now be replicated to the Exchange Server 2003 Mailbox Server.
Make sure that all folders exist that are given with the error and re-created it by hand, then run the setup again this will complete the Mailbox role install. I will come back to this guide and update it when I reinstall OwnCloud on a different server.
MySSQL will ask you for root password, this is the one you set during “Web Platform Installer” installation of MySQL.
Note1: Since OwnCloud stores files and folders directly to filesystem you should consider using a folder with few characters for server installation. Note2: I highly recommend using SSL for OwnCloud even if you don’t have an official SSL certificate.
Note3: Not only should you use SSL, but try to put the files under a folder – and name the folder something else than “OwnCloud”.
Note4: And after all of the above, consider adding authentication in IIS (not relying only on OwnClouds login screen, but instead securing the whole site).
Third: I had WebDAV feature installed in IIS already so I had problems with invalid HTTP VERBS.
I did however have problem with syncing some long filenames and special characters in filenames (I believe), so I reinstalled OwnCloud on Linux and it runs perfectly – no problems.
In Linux thats easy, in Windows you’d have to map the network drive using the user that OwnCloud runs under (on the webserver). After installation its best to make sure that this database is moved from the default location to an alternate location for recovery and performance reasons. The hierarchy, which is the structure of all Public Folders will be automatically replicated between all Public Folder Databases in the entire organization.
To accomplish this logon to the Exchange Server 2010 Mailbox Server, open the Exchange Management Console and navigate to the Tools node. Be aware that Public Folder replication is a low priority mechanism, so it takes some time before both Public Folder databases are in sync.
It will configure PHP for use with FastCGI, and trhe Cache Extension will set up opcode caching of PHP-scripts.
There is a limit to how long a directory+filename can be, if the server has already used some of this limit as the root folder for OwnCloud then some files simply can’t be synced.
First off OwnCloud client will ask you to accept the certificate and remember that choice, so if its tampered with later you will be notified – this makes it almost as good as the real thing.

If you encounter this doublecheck that you do not have WebDAV role installed, if you have – uninstall and reboot the server. Keep “Deleted files”, “Versions” and similar, but disable image galleries, fulltext search and stuff.
I set the scheduled task to run as the IIS user (IIS_IUSR), rationale being that if anyone (hacker) could modify Cron.php to do something else then Scheduled Tasks should not help them elevate their privelegies further.
If you haven’t seen any OwnCloud pages yet it sounds like a problem with the PHP installation. We will use ForeFront to achieve redundancy for OWA and Outlook anywhere later on, most likely on part 4, for now we will move on finishing the configuration of DAG. In the navigation pane, navigate to the Organization Configuration and select the Mailbox option.
It has much of the same features (and some more) that Dropbox has, and after a few days use it seems “so far so good”. AJAX sounds like it requires a webbrowser to visit the page, it also only takes one task per visit. As reminder our goal is to bring two exchange 2010 servers in DAG configuration and make our messaging environment redundant, if one server goes down, the other server will pick up the production users. When finished, the folder and all its subfolders will be replicated to the Exchange Server 2010 Public Folder database. As you know DAG member can be added or taken out from DAG (Data Availability Group) any time. Repeat this step for the second Offline Address Book folder and the Schedule+ Free Busy folder. Right here you’ll see that the ‘old’ 2003 Mailbox Server is the Offline Address Book generation server. In very basic thinking the way DAG works is to assign active databases and passive databases to each DAG members. The Move Offline Address Book wizard will appear, use the Browse button to select the Exchange 2010 Mailbox Server Role as the new generation server.
The directory link was simply to make it straightforward to configure IIS, its not really required.
Remember Storage groups no longer exist in Exchange 2010 and logs are associating with each database. The OwnCloud installation wizard should pop up and ask you for SQL credentials, to create the first admin user, etc..
