In business, there are certain processes that need to be done if anyone is to see any profits. Simply put, a value chain is the set of input activities that a company carries out in order to create value for its valued customers.
What you need to ask yourself is how your company takes whatever business input it has and transform that into outputs to be presented to its customers. The Primary Elements involve the physical creation of a product, packaging, marketing, sale and maintenance. In layman’s terms, a supply chain is what ensures that the products you value so much actually get to you.
Our goal in working with supply chains is to find ways to increase efficiencies through accuracy and automation. Let us help you manage your inventory while integrating directly with QuickBooks and Intacct. I am a student of Supply Chain Management, and I was really having hard time in understanding the difference between value chain and supply chain.

Mind mapping is one of the best ways to capture your thoughts and bring them to life in visual form.
Mind maps can be used for pretty much any thinking or learning task, from studying a subject (such as a new language) to planning your career or even building better habits.
It’s a graphical tool that can incorporate words, images, numbers and colour, so it can be more memorable and enjoyable to create and review. A mind map can at once give you an overview of a large subject while also holding large amounts of information.
You can generate ideas very quickly with this technique and are encouraged to explore different creative pathways. In one survey, executives who started using mind-mapping software said they were able to work significantly faster than before and juggle more complex projects through mind mapping. Mind mapping helps you to study less because you understand the information at a deep level as a result of creating mind maps. You can create a mind map on paper, in a drawing app on your tablet, or one of many popular mind-mapping software tools, such as XMind, our favourite mind-mapping software.
Pen and paper may be better because you can get your thoughts out more quickly and the act of drawing the branches out can aid recall. CONNECT your MAIN BRANCHES to the central image and connect your second- and third-level branches to the first and second levels, etc. You'd think the human race would have sleep down to a science by now, but many of us are still sleeping poorly (and so we need top 10 guides to getting better sleep). The trick is doing this in such a way that the outcome of the whole process is having an output that is of higher value than the whole process of creating it. They take raw materials and use this to produce a product that is useful to the general population.

The reason every high end store charges considerably more for their goods and services is because they have created better value for their customers. He says that the way a company creates value for its customers determines costs and thus affects profits. The Support Activities on the other hand involves a process and departments that help the Primary Elements come into play. Some of the things we use are manufactured half way across the world from your local convenience store. This focus allows us to see a rapid ROI for our customers as well as increases the value to the end consumer in the form of excellent customer service. They can also help you become more creative, remember more and solve problems more effectively. The Asian Efficiency blog offers a few unusual ways to use mind maps you might not have considered: create a knowledge bank (since mind mapping software lets you attach files and add links), solve problems (such as which credit card to use), create book summaries and set goals.
The combination of words and pictures is six times better for remembering information than words alone.
This helps generate more ideas, find deeper meaning in your subject, and also prompt you to fill in more or find what you’re missing. And research suggests mind mapping can improve learning and memory by 10 to 15 per cent versus conventional note-taking and studying techniques. On the other hand, using the computer can make your mind maps searchable and include attachments. If you want to use more than key word or add more text to a branch, that’s a personal choice.
I use mind-mapping, from time to time, when organizing content for instructional design projects.
Part of the problem is we have outdated information and beliefs about this all-important health need.
To avoid any embarrassing commits (or commit messages), you can grab yourself an Arduino and a script called "gitdown" to act as a sobriety gatekeeper for your repository. Things like the procurement office, human resources department, technical department and the business’s infrastructure.
In any case, at the center is your main idea, say, poetry, and the branches are subtopics or related ideas, such as types of poetry, famous poets and poetry publications.
They’re great for teams to use as well, for group brainstorming and interactive presentations.
Many people would just start listing all their ideas (building a wall, building a walkway). Because starting in the centre gives your Brain freedom to spread out in all directions and to express itself more freely and naturally. So if you have only 10 images in your Mind Map, it’s already the equal of 10,000 words of notes! Mind mapping also fits into what is know as "visual thinking." It is similar to graphical note taking.
This often involves finding the raw material for manufacturers or just simply packaging and marketing for retailers.

They take these products, package them in such a way that when presented to the end user, it will create and add value to the lives but most importantly, it will be convenient for them to buy. But with wealth comes higher standards and expectations, which means the store has to be able to provide better and more suited products to satisfy their clients’ demands and expectations. The major difference between a supply chain and a value chain is the simple fact that within a supply chain, there is no value added.
A product produced or manufactured on a continent you have only heard of in your Geography lessons is essential for your daily consumption.
But what if you started from a broader perspective, such as thinking about the properties of a brick. A central image is more interesting, keeps you focused, helps you concentrate, and gives your Brain more of a buzz! Colour adds extra vibrancy and life to your Mind Map, adds tremendous energy to your Creative Thinking, and is fun! We are going to take an in-depth look at what value chain is and we’ll also review some similarities and mostly the differences between that and a supply chain.
The reason you always find this product on the shelves at your convenience store is because supply chains never rest. It’s heavy, so you could use it as a paperweight, to hold down a garbage bag while raking, as an exercise weight, or to grill juicer chicken. One product or material is taken from one company or from one end and transported to the other. What most people don’t realize is that these insurance companies have to get insurance as well.
Of course there are procedures involved such as proper storage and careful transportation but that is about it. That is a very simplistic way of looking at supply chains but it brings out the essence of the whole concept. They do so by signing much larger re-insurance policies thus ensuring that the policies their clients buy are underwritten by someone better equipped to cover the necessary charges. In value chains, as much as there is transportation and some storage involved, the main purpose of a value chain is to add value to the product so as to make it presentable to the client. So what your insurance company has done, is taken the cost, broken it down to an affordable figure and presented it to you in a convenient manner. That way, you get your much needed insurance and the insurance company gets its much needed business, everybody wins.
The major difference as mentioned earlier is that with a supply chain, there is no need for some functions like packaging or marketing the product.
