Amazon Web Services (AWS) an Amazon company is all set to expand its infrastructure in India for cloud computing platform by 2016. By 2016, those are willing to hire Amazon Web Services will be able to use the world’s largest computing platform to run their business online without any hassles.
India’s well-known firms such as Tata Motors, Ferns N Petals, redBus, Hungama, NDTV, PayTM etc are already using AWS. Be it a new innovation or improve the existing technology at its best, AWS has always helped the firms all over India. The online market in India is dynamic and there are many start-ups who look for reliable platforms to implement a project. There are many firms in India such as IBM, Microsoft, TCS etc that provide cloud computing services but Amazon is trusted by many. CenturyLink’s new CTO, Jared Wray, sees educating both end users and the channel partners that supply their needs as a core part of building out a cloud-delivered platform of services, as putting datacentres together becomes a five-SKU jigsaw.
In the eyes of Jared Wray, who became CTO of datacenter and cloud services provider, CenturyLink, when it recently acquired the Tier 3 cloud services business he founded, education is now one of the key problems facing the development of technology-based services.
This is why he is ensuring that a core part of the company’s developing channel partner program has, for many of its participants, a strong education component. We used to have a channel policy where the partners were allowed to work with our sales team, but that didn’t go far enough.
He expects there to be over 50 add-on service providers in the partner program by the end of the year. The interesting aspect of this partner program is the fact that CenturyLink is ready and able to commit resources to sales training of channel partners, as one of the common problems expressed by large service providers is that their channel partners rarely seem to understand what it is they are actually selling, especially when it comes to the cloud. The next stage in the plan is the addition of more complex, user-facing services such as consultancy. The important part here is that we are building specialisation teams to understand these applications for our customers, so that they don’t have to have that skill in house.
The company also has plans established to increase this portfolio over the next couple of quarters.
Moves such as this are starting to gain traction within the service provider community as they come to realise that just delivering compute resources is an increasingly bad business model because the only thing to compete with is price, and every competition on price tends towards zero. This does, of course, mean being able to offer consistency across the datacentres and all of them are now built to the same standards in terms of the build out and the management tools used within them.
When we need to expand the services we simply order the relevant rack, which is then just unwrapped and auto-installed. The underlying trend here is that the technology of cloud has now become secondary, definable by a few SKU numbers.
That means someone, or some business, has to take some responsibility for hand-holding and educating not only the end customers, but also the channel that services their needs.
You may have seen it at a show, a lovely horse trotting around the ring sporting a fancy red ribbon in his tail. These here adorable little cards will tell everyone that your style is classic, natural and so unique! If you run a business then probably a full data backup program or even uploading to the cloud is the best option for you. For the average individual, flash pen drives seem to be ever more popular as a choice for backing up work, pictures and music. All of the modern solutions for backing up your important documents are good but also have their flaws.
With all of today’s hype about big data, private cloud solutions and the latest technological advances, it can be easy to lose focus on what’s really important for business success – providing a positive customer experience. For example, research by McKinsey & Company on “emotionally charged interactions” showed that 70% of respondents reduced their commitment to a company when they had a negative, emotional experience.
If you want your customers to know they are a priority, take advantage of what your big data has to offer.
Have they changed their activities with current industry trends, marketing campaigns, economic issues or something else? Answers to these questions and others will help you learn what your customers really want now and in the future. And this may be easier said than done if you are working with old and cumbersome data systems. If your legacy system is holding you back from obtaining the accurate and current customer information you need to compete, it’s time to take action.

Provide service reps with access to saved activities to help customers at any point in their processes. If your big data system does not have omnichannel capabilities that allow you to innovate, deploy sophisticated analytics and adapt to regulatory changes and trends quickly and easily, all while reducing costs and accelerating time to market, you are missing out on a competitive advantage. Your big data solution should give you the information you need to provide a personalized and positive experience that your customers will want to share with others. Several of these customers, along with many prospective new customers, have asked us to locate infrastructure in India so they can enjoy even lower latency to their end users in India and satisfy any data sovereignty requirements they may have,” said Andy Jassy, Senior Vice President, AWS. And with consulting partners India such as Blazeclan, Accenture, PWC, Wipro etc, AWS’s cloud platform will operate smoothly.
And most probably the big industry players will be looking forward to use AWS cloud computing platform in India to ease their tasks.
And that is not education about the technology itself, but how to use it and how to sell it.
This has three levels: the first is free access to the resources so that they can sell to CenturyLink customers, the second provides more management services as well as education support such as sales training, and the top level is where we really invest with that partner in building dedicated managed services. The other side of that coin is that channel partners – and some large service providers – usually seem to feel that all they need to sell is more `racks’ or cloud resources. For us a lot of our customers are mid-market enterprises, and you can’t just say to them `buy some cloud, how many do you want?’ You have to figure out a solution per workload.
The company started as a small telco in Louisiana, USA, and over 10 years has grown to an $18bn service provider. Not only have they been on this growth transformation but are also changing the way they are looking at their services, and one of my jobs is to build this platform.
The company’s goal is to be able to offer customers a full range of IT management services, so that they can then focus on their value to their markets. According to Wray it already has a wide range of infrastructure delivery and management options for customers to exploit, but the new target is to build out its applications offerings as part of a managed services portfolio.
This includes more managed services such as refreshes of managed backup, making it available on the cloud, datacenter extensions, enabling more hosting capabilities, all with the aim of making it a single platform, with more integration between the different services in the portfolio. A lot of our customers are looking for a network to run on and a place to host their infrastructure – a recent survey suggested 86 percent of workloads still haven’t moved to the cloud.
Twelve of its 57 datacenters are specifically dedicated to providing cloud services, and each one is very standardised, each using the same racks and infrastructures.
What is now important is `decerebralising’ its use in business and service provision – put simply, make it a `no-brainer’ for the customer. To that end, Wray and CenturyLink have to be ranked amongst the `early understanders’ of the problem and its probable solution. Riders would place a ribbon in their horse’s tail when riding in the hunt to warn other riders of things they might not have the time to tell them before the ride. This means that any other riders should be careful not to crowd the horse, especially from behind. Because it can be difficult to successfully advertise at a show, using a white ribbon is an excellent way to show that your horse is for sale. When you are in love with your proof and have given the “OK TO PRINT” We need aprox 6 days in print and then the invitations are off to your hands! Your records are very important and even used for taxation so it is very important that you keep a full back up for several years.
While your clients want fast solutions, they also want to do business with companies that offer personalized interactions. From this information, you can create specific processes that cater to their needs throughout their entire interaction with your business (whether it’s online, via phone or in person). NDTV which is India’s leading media house handled 500million web traffic during elections in 2013.
Most important thing will be the cost which is expected to reduce after the installation of cloud platform in India.

We have built a new Ecosystem Program that channels SI partners, white label resellers looking to brand their own cloud, and add-ons. So we have to train our own salesforce for this so they understand not only our product, but are able to create solutions for the customers.
The target here is providing the `how to manage……’ component, building out on the network management services it already has available. But they also want a hybrid approach, which is why we offer services, and they want to augment how they manage services, which is why we offer that.
We see our future being a mixed environment, with retail datacenter floor space and services, and our cloud service being in containers or whatever the latest technology is. When there are a lot of horses working in a group, it can be hard to know which horse is which, and a ribbon makes it clear when there is a something that needs to be considered before approaching.
That way prospective buyers can see him perform in the ring, and know that they can approach you after the class if they are interested. From data backup software to uploading it to the cloud, deciding which option is best for you can be a very confusing subject. Create a new email address (Gmail a€“ Hotmail or Similar) and email your files to yourself. According to Slideshare’s “BtoB Marketing Analytics Spotlight Report,” organizations with more than 1,000 employees reported that “a lack of systems integration (54%) and issues with data quality and integrity (44%)” ranked highest for their key challenges working with big data. Add-ons are third-party vendors already offering web-services to developers and other companies and wanting to integrate to our platform so they can sell through it. We have a couple in the UK and we are also expanding during 2015, with more locations in Europe.
Often people choose to use a red ribbon if a horse is green or inexperienced because other riders are more likely to understand the meaning.
It is unfair to a stallion’s rider to ride your mare too close to a stallion in the ring, especially if she is in season. Normally we would rely on word of mouth as to the best solution for data backup a€?a friend at work suggested I use -----a€?. This way is safe as long as you keep the password strong (Numbers & Letters with Caps mixed in) and use this just for backup.
Keep at least one in a safe place and always use a lanyard or key ring when carrying flash pen drives outside. We get real time updates on Facebook and Twitter, constantly keeping abreast of activity taking place anywhere in the world at a given time, and so it makes sense that this way of creating and processing should also lend itself to the way we work.
The stallion can be the best behaved boy out there, but having an in season mare close by will distract him. With cloud technology, all documents and information are centralised in one place, accessible anywhere at any time too. In the worst case scenario, you could cause a serious accident by bringing your mare too close to a stallion. Cloud- computing also means that you and your team, your partners and your clients can all work on documents at the same time too-even if you are not in the same space, without the need to continually ping emails back and forth. Because cloud computing also has strong disaster recovery capabilities costs allocated to making repairs is also minimal.
