My days of decisions to apply for a fun rewards credit card are pretty much over; on that note, the age range that this is probably meant for is that of kids who still primarily use MySpace. I have fun on my social networks and all, but I don't think I'll be combining that with my financial life anytime soon. Agreed that citi has horrible customer service - this is the SECOND time they've not informed me that my account was shut out (I had to login to their website to figure it out), because they suspected that it was stolen (only, I HAVE my card on me, and there's no funny transactions on it!). Place To Get Prepaid Credit Cards Best Credit Card Tips is about how to to find the place to get the best prepaid credit cards, info on best low interest credit card, lowest credit card percentage rates, info on low interest business credit card and virtual prepaid credit card. So if you are planning to have a prepaid credit card then make sure that you research several offers before making a decision.

Adding cash easily by using free Direct Deposit or use one of the 100,000’s of retail locations, for example Western Union, Money Gram Express Payment, Ace Cash Express, and more. Use online Bill Pay Pay all your bills online with established major providers or cut a check to anyone. I will list both business and personal cards since Citi is somewhat flexible about allowing individuals to open business credit cards and filing as sole proprietorship with their own social security number. Though Citi’s AAdvantage cards have been hovering around the 30,000-mile sign-up bonus mark for a couple months, according to this Flyertalk thread, the opportunity to score a combined 100,000 miles from applying for 2 cards is back (similar to this deal I posted about last year). Just note, the application pages do not mention the 50,000-mile bonus, but you will be awarded the miles when you are approved and meet minimum spending requirements – you can call Citi to verify once you have applied and are approved. The application pages don’t mention the bonuses or perks, so be sure you clear your cache before applying so you get to the right landing page for the 50,000-mile offers. For those unfamiliar with applying for Citi cards – you can get two personal cards on the same day and it will only be one inquiry on your credit and the credit line will be identical on both cards. If you’re not approved for one or both cards, you can call the reconsideration line at: 1-888-201-4523.
Also, these cards and bonuses are for first-time cardholders, though if you haven’t had a Citi AAdvantage card in the last 18-20 months, you might still be able to score these bonuses.
There are a couple differences this time around compared to when this opportunity was available last fall. Although there is a minimum spending requirement in order to earn the 50,000-mile bonus, the combined $6,000 in four months is still less than the $20,000 (in a year) you’d have to spend to earn the 100,000-Avios bonus on the British Airways Visa.

That saved us close to $300 and I will forever be sure to make this sort of purchase on a card that gives me some extra protection and peace of mind. You will find that many of the premium credit card products that are common in the miles and points arena have these very nice built-in perks!
I don’t personally have this card, but if you planned to spend $650 on a contract-free phone, this may be a card worth considering to keep that money in you pocket. I would second the Amex recommendation, their warranty claim process puts the rest to shame. This isn’t directly relevant to new-phone purchases, but I pay my monthly phone bill with my Wells Fargo AmEx because one of its benefits is phone insurance for loss or damage.

Citi unveiled the quasi-2% Double Cash Card which was greeted with uncritical boosterism from certain affiliate bloggers and plenty of invective from several others, Travel is Free and Saverocity Matt with the biggest howls.
I do not have affiliate links with Citi and do not want to get into the endless debate about bloggers and affiliates.
There is a time-value of money loss by the presumably extra statement it takes to award the second 1%. Push so much money through cards that it is often necessary to pay off balances mid-cycle to reset credit and to avoid reports of large balances to credit bureaux.
Earn 1% Unlimited Cash Back on Purchases Earn 1% cash back on all your purchases, with no cap on the amount you can earn and no category restrictions.

Earn an additional 1% Unlimited Cash Back as you pay for those purchases, whether you pay in full or over time Just make sure to pay at least the minimum due.
Is this possibly the first card to give rewards even when carrying a balance?  If that encourages customers to at least make minimum payments when they otherwise wouldn’t, and this gives them extra cash to do so, then maybe it is nice Citibank. Just another little note that I recently included in my blogpost, multiple citi reps have stated that cards will not be eligible for PC unless they’ve been open for a year or more. Not sure if this will actually be enforced (as almost all card issuers have a similar policy but regularly allow cards that have their AF due to be product changed) but thought it was worth mentioning. Citi Dividend (to name one) definitely does not negate reward points for carrying a balance.
Amex Corporate is a non-revolving card so it becomes delinquent immediately, but it’s a rare exception.
Almost all of these prepay credit cards and debit cards will have fees in every transaction that you make so it can be pretty much expensive to own one in the long run.
Some issuers offer immediate approval and provide you with a temporary virtual card and PIN right away.
Find one that offers referral program and you will get commissions from referring other people to it.
Choose the one that offers referral program and most important of all, do not apply for any prepaid credit or debit card without reading its terms and conditions.

So even if you don’t have a business but you think you might open a business in the future, it’s a good idea to separate your personal expenses from your business ones, and you can explain that to any Citi reps you might have to talk to if your application is flagged. These are my personal valuations, and I don’t have all of these cards myself, so if you have one (or several) that you use, please feel free to share your comments, especially if you have tips that can help other TPG readers learn to use these cards to maximize the points and miles they earn. Let’s say you maxed out both the spending to earn the $100 flight discount plus 10,000 AAdvantage miles back if you redeem 100,000 miles on itineraries for another $190. I know many people are too wary to apply for a credit card offer through an unmarked linked through an internet forum, so there are other 50,000 mile offers available, but they require more spend (read below). Admirals Club membership is worth between $350-$500 per year depending on your elite level, since AA discounts it for elites. If you’re looking for some quick AA miles and to dump the card before the $50 annual fee (which is sort of high for a card with a low bonus and few benefits like this), this could be a good card for you. These are not my affiliate links, so I can’t guarantee the bonus will work, but as with many things in life you need to take a greater risk to get a greater reward. Some people recommend using two browsers, but the last time I applied and got two in one day I applied using the same browser and did one right after another and I had no issues getting approved for both.
For some more details on the two-card application process and what to expect, you can check out this very informative Flyertalk post. First, you don’t get any Admirals Club lounge passes, though that’s not a dealbreaker in my book since there are a lot of other ways to get lounge access.  Second, with the old offer, you would have gotten a $150 statement credit, though this time around it’s only $100 when you make an American Airlines purchase (you can just buy a drink or a snack on a flight, or an AA gift card).
However, you do have a shortened timeframe to get all that spending in, so think about whether you have enough expenses coming up to put on both cards before applying. That’s enough for four roundtrip domestic flights, a roundtrip business class flight to South America, Europe or Japan, and just shy of what you’d need to fly business class to China on Cathay Pacific (110,000 miles). Remember, even if you don’t have a business, you can still apply for many business credit cards. Citi only allows 2 applications for any Citi cards (personal or business) within a 60-day period. It was a minor intermittent problem that was probably carrier-based but all I had to do was send them my receipt from Google Play along with a description of the problem.
I was told that would save me $25 per month and that they no longer offered the $199 deal with a 2 year contract. This compensation may impact how and where products appear on this site (including, for example, the order in which they appear). Citi, however, is oddly flexible in allowing conversion from existing cards after an account is open for 12 months, even across co-brand cards.
The next 1% appears to only apply to the statement balance amount, so it is possible that 1% will not be award if balances are paid off before statement close. Most similar cards do not either, but the Fidelity Amex does for $50 minimum (manual rewards possible for minimum $25).
And it is worth noting that this critique is based not on actual experience with the card, but instead the most likely interpreation of the published Ts&Cs. If they are going to use credit cards, wouldn’t giving them some incentive to keep paying off debt be a good thing? From all the terms I can find, it appears that the first 1% is awarded regardless of account balance status so long as there is activity every 12 months. If that encourages customers who otherwise would make full payments, to not, then I suppose it is Shitibank.

Interesting update is my wife converted her AA last week and they would only allow Dividend MasterCard, not Visa, no difference to us but with this new card coming out and Dividend disappearing from marketing I hope it at least lingers for a while.
What they and others do is negate points for late payments or payments that do not meet the minimum required. When the annual fee is billed I call, they convert, which is a 45-day process, but they immediately credit the annual fee. I have a Citi Forward for Students, which gives 100 extra points if you pay on time, but to get the points balance needs to be non-zero. Different cards have different timing, the Amex Corporate immediately after the following statement, others like Fidelity another statement, but all that I have seen have terms about forfeiting points at some point, while I do not see this for the first 1% from the Citi Double Cash card. I would also like to share some very useful information with you all about Credit Card Website . With the best prepaid credit card, you just load cash into the card and they are ready to use. You don’t even have to worry about over spending since you can only spend what you load in your card account. Just imagine if you are going to use your it very often, transaction fees can be pretty much expensive. My values are also on the conservative side, so  a lot of people should be able to get more than what I’ve outlined below – and I welcome your feedback on your own use of points. Finally, if you check bags two times a year for two people, that’s $25 per bag, so $100 total.
If you spend the $40,000 needed to get the 10,000 bonus elite qualifying miles, I’d value them at $600. I suppose it’s better to be safe than sorry, so if you want to go for both applications, then use two different browsers and make sure your cache is cleared just so you’re not automatically redirected to an application with a lower sign-up bonus due to cookies stored in your browser.
Not as good, but hey, it’s a nice little perk and takes a bit of the sting out of having to spend $3,000 in the first 4 months. In less than a week, they refunded the purchase to my card and didn’t even ask for the phone back. You can pretty much convert to any card, my favorite is the no annual fee Dividend which is a relatively easy $300 cash back per year, but you can even switch among AA, Hilton, Thank You and other cards, see my recent post for the current options. For the Citi card you need to manually request cashback at minimum $25 paid via check, statement credit or gift card. My wife’s company is slow to pay her Amex Corporate card so nearly every month the points are forfeited and can only be reinstated for $35 fee per statement. That would be a more meaningful criticism than the narrow concerns of the manufactured spend tribe. Citi Dividend and Amex Blue are the only two cards where I have personal experience with this behavior, but I’m fairly certain it maps to other issuers. I did not mean to imply that you do not get points for paying after the initial statement close, which would not make sense.
I would switch due to the poor customer service they've given me, but they are my oldest CC account and I don't want to damage my great credit score at this point. You don’t have to worry with paying interest rates and overdraft fees or monthly statements of debts to pay.
The value you’re looking at is around $1,340, however just note the increased spend required to get this value versus the first two unofficial offers. If you were to take advantage of all the perks and spending threshold bonuses, I’d put the value of this card at about $1,550. So effectively, getting these two cards could be worth thousands of dollars in travel awards, offsetting the minimum spending requirements. Doctor of Credit reports that Double Cash will become a conversion option from September 7, 2014.
I’m going to guess that Citi Double Cash uses the same rules and requires the same strategy with no mid-month payments.
Most important you can use the best prepaid credit card when you travel where you can book your flight and hotel using these card.
That said, if you’re going to have enough expenses to put on these cards anyway to meet the spending requirements without overshooting your budget, you might as well use them to score the AAdvantage miles and earn a free trip (or several) in the process. For those with unused Citi cards or annual fee cards coming due, this may be a good candidate for conversion to preserve the credit line. The Purchase Tracker shows the balance eligible to earn cash back on payments each billing cycle.
