Then, after two minutes of repetition, if that negative thought creeps in again – do another two minutes. The theory behind how a mantra can manifest certain things in your life, is that as we are all made of energy and your thoughts too have an energetic vibration (just ask a quantum physicsist). Whether you know it or not, the content of your mind is dictating the quality of your experience. They say that it takes 30 days to break a habit or make a new one, so for the next 30 days I’ll be putting mantras to the test in my own life.

I have to say, so far, the technique has been really effective in improving my mood and helping me feel more empowered!
Money, love, success, a slimmer body – anything you can dream of, you can bring into your reality. If you want an interview to go well, you wouldn’t say, “I’m not going to screw up this interview,” because your mind doesn’t pick up the ‘not’ – it only hears ‘screw up the interview, screw up the interview’. You can say it externally if you like, but it’s fine to just repeat it internally (what’s more, sometimes it won’t be appropriate to repeat it externally, for example, if you’re in the reception, waiting to be called in for that interview).
If you believe what you’re saying to yourself there’s nothing wrong with that, but don’t get hung up on the mantra not being ‘true’ right now. You’re not meant to analyse the statement to assess its validity (that’s why you don’t need to believe it – you just need to make sure you’re not contesting it).
You’ll get very good, very quickly at focusing on the single statement of your mantra this way.
By broadcasting a certain thought over and over again, you begin to attract like thoughts to it and eventually people, places and circumstances that will manifest those very thoughts into a reality. The best news of all is, if you don’t like what you’re experiencing you can start – right now, if you like – attracting what you DO want. We all have areas we want to improve upon, so for this exercise, I’ve decided to focus on increasing my abundance in the financial area. I’ll report objectively where I’m at at the end of 30 days, for you to see whether YOU can get mantras working for you to create more exciting, enjoyable and joyful situations for your own life. Mantras in the sense that I’ve described above don’t require you to believe the statement you’re using as your mantra.
