My visual claims show how texting and driving could go bad and end up putting you in a bad situation. It shows the things you have to look our for when driving and shows that if you take your eyes off the road for a few seconds then something very bad can happen to you and the people around you.
Two of my pictures show people trying to cross the road and the people driving down the road are looking at their cell phones. This creates a dangerous situation for the people crossing the road where they could most likely get ran over and seriously hurt. Studies have been found that say one third of all teens have admitted to texting while driving(Madden). It also appeals to them because nine out of ten times it would be someone is this category texting and driving. It goes without saying at the same time that it can still appeal to everyone since some other people do still text and drive. Just because people are older and maybe wiser does not give them the right to text and drive. With these visual arguments that I used I tried to get my audience to really think if whether or not texting and driving is worth it. I tried to make them realize that the risk they are putting on themselves and others is not worth it. Through my argument I try to make the audience see the pain and suffering that they can cause their families and other families from texting and driving.
It can really drive home to them when they see the dangers that it causes and how quickly it can change your life. It can also make people fear texting and driving because of the consequences of the outcome.
Logos was also easily incorporated in the visual argument because the pictures are very easy to understand, one even has text to go along with it.

When they see the pictures it is very easy for them to understand the dangers of texting and driving. They can see that two of the cars are about to run into little children and know that because of this they will be harmed. They can also see fro the middle picture that the outcome of a texting and driving accident is not funny because the car is turned upside down with a lot of damage done to it.The process of composing my visual argument gave me a few challenges. I searched the web and thought for a couple of hours before I finally chose texting and driving.
When actually writing the essay portion of the project the hardest part for me was tying in the ethos, pathos, and logos parts. I know how to use computers, but not good enough to be able to do this without any problems. I watched multiple tutorial videos before finally being able to some what create a web page.
