Spring is the season we tend to associate with tornadoes and thunderstorms.  However, statistics clearly indicate that the fall, which meteorology experts often refer to as the "Second Season" for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms, is no time to let our guard down. Over the past ten years, May has been the peak month for tornado activity, with September next in line.  However, while most of the large tornado outbreaks do in fact occur in the spring, according to The Weather Channel's severe weather expert Dr.
