Tony Robbins is a master life coach who exploded onto the self-help scene in the late 80’s through late-night infomercials and best-selling books. This is a little different from what I normally write and is much more about me and mindset then strictly about business.
After thinking about that and journaling for a while I decided to track down my goals list from 1991 and I found it. I joke that I should have been more specific with my goal because I was a millionaire in my 30s and lost everything before my 40s. When I was 23 I was speaking quite a bit, mostly presenting the Shaklee opportunity, but also talking about NLP and mindset. In the last three years I’ve presented both paid and for free to groups across the US from as small as 10 people to almost 200. I was doing Kenpo karate point sparing tournaments back then and that’s really what I meant.
I was pretty skinny back then and was working out an hour or two every day while trying to improve my fighting skills.
I also dabble in information marketing and have built and sold several courses and coached other online business owners over the years. Small Business Marketing ConferenceThey just had a great small business marketing conference down in Houston. It is important to reach our dreams.  I just did a post this week about making dreams possibilities. If have to some dreams in my college life k when will u studying in three years ago all i had to do was move to another city that had a major university,be accepted, and spend the 3 years studying. I met up with my friend Rebecca for coffee the other day and we had a hilarious discussion on vision boards. The law of attraction is simple – whatever you project energetically or put your energy towards whether that be positive or negative you will attract.
The vision board therefore, is to help our brains recognize what it is we want to make true in our lives. Get Specific – Anyone can post some pictures of wads of cash, or sports cars but where is the motivation in that (not to mention that’s just shallow)? Make it a Celebration: Grab a glass (or bottle) of wine and turn on some music that you love. I will be in LA this week at a Tony Robbins Conference (woo!) but when I get back I’m going to make one killer vision board. Including Bill Clinton, Princess Diana, Andre Agassi, Serena Williams, and actor Hugh Jackman. Besides I’m aware that there are Intrigue readers who are over 30 and you are never too old to try something new!
We’ll be back to our irregularly scheduled business and online marketing posts soon, but for today join me as I explore my goals from 20 years ago and how they relate to where I am today. I opened it up and the first sentence I noticed was one that I wrote in the book in 1991, when I was 23 years old. Most of us have lost sight of our dreams or at the very least they’ve been subjugated or set aside.
I’m back on track to building a multi-million dollar business again and will easily do six figures in 2011. My regular speaking was MC’ing a monthly Phoenix- wide Shaklee seminar that had 100-150 people and the largest group I presented to a group of just shy of 300 where I was able to share the stage with Robert Cialidini, the author of Influence, one of the seminal works for people interested in persuasion.
I rarely share about myself and posted on Facebook that this post was coming yesterday because if I hadn’t I probably never would have hit publish. It is inspiring that you are willing to be transparent in order to encourage us to be honest with ourselves.

There are very few people I know who are as knowledgeable about strategic business planning as Doug McIsaac.
It could be words, pictures, places, material things -all put together on a poster board or electronically made into a single image. However, there are a few tips and items you should considering incorporating into your board. I’m going to let go of the fear of failure, and embrace my future with passion, desire and the expectation that those things will become reality. I ended up moving back to Billings from Phoenix in 2002 and pretty much set speaking aside until a couple of years ago. I have three, possibly four speaking gigs lined up for March and am starting to plan April and May.
Since then I’ve done Olympic fencing and fought in local club tournaments reaching the semi-finals a couple of times with foil.
Both of which were focused on showing people how to be a local social media consultant helping businesses leverage the power of social media marketing for their businesses.
I’ve received several private messages expressing their gratitude for the post and how it made them think about where they were in their lives. One of my biggest regrets (only regrets) is not doing so more regularly.  Because I agree with you that your gut is usually correct.  What better to prevent repeating the mistakes of your past, than actually having a true snap shot into how you really felt at that moment in time? He's a very talented, "under the radar" expert who has a natural knack for finding simple strategies to dramatically increase your profits.
The purpose of a vision board is to realize your future, and to activate the law of attraction and move from day dreaming to living your dreams. A vision board is simply to help set our intentions for the way we want to live, and for our brains to pick up on that and make it happen.
If you are sick, then gravitate towards pictures that are of people healthy, active, smiling, and well.
Make this a really fun experience and let go of any expectations of what it should be, and ask yourself what it could be.
Whether you decide to travel away for a year to Australia, three months to America or one month to the UK, travelling is a must-do. RMTG ultimately went out of business and my payments stopped at 10 months instead of 10 years. Local businesses don’t understand online marketing and most of the people who are trying to sell them services are simply fleecing them or have no clue what they are doing.
I’ve had similar revelations from reading from those times and as you did have made adjustments because of that. Let go of those generic images, and find what makes your dream different than everyone else’s. This on top of a number of other things caused me to ultimately lose everything which could be another series of blog posts. I’ve been doing online marketing consulting for almost 5 years now and get a little disgusted with what I see being sold. Some have faded in importance and some help me to remember my dreams when I get all caught up in the drag of life’s battles. All I had to do was move to another city that had a major university, apply, be accepted, and spend the next 3 years studying, writing papers, presenting papers, and taking exams. As you flip through the magazines, see what makes your heart race or evokes an emotional response and rip that out. Well, not only will you experience a whole new culture and way of living, it’s a chance to challenge yourself, kick out of your comfort zone and meet new people. Realistically, not much fun will come out of sitting on your ass at home all the time, you’ve got to get out there and see the world!

Most of the time my gut was right but it took me time to be ready to deal with the situation. I needed a theme for a thesis and expanded this theme into my first book: The Relationship Trap.
You have probably been to the majority of places in Ireland and find yourself disinterested in even the mention of visiting another country in Ireland, but keep ticking places off that list! There are loads of beautiful sights to see – Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, Killarney, The Giant’s Causeway, Salthill in Galway – and if we do manage to get some sun and are bored to death at home, some of these sights are worth a visit during the fine weather.
One of the times I was rereading some notes I noticed how I had the same complaints and intentions for years. You never know where your dream will take you, and it may not necessarily be your original goal, but never lose sight of that dream. This was a pivotal point for me and motivated me to start being more conscious of action on my intentions.
There are loads of amazing sights to be seen – Great Wall of China, Berlin Wall, Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower to name just a few. So if anybody asks if you have been to a certain place, at least you can say you have once in your life!Leave The Job You HateObviously don’t leave your job when the economy is in the state that it is in now and you have no other job in line, because then you’ll just leave yourself broke!
Let’s face it, there is no point being stuck in a job that you would rather eat a plate of spiders than get up out of bed and go into.
We all have to work to earn a living whether we like it or not, but I’m a strong believer that we should be earning money for work we love to do and actually enjoy.
It can certainly haunt you, but it all comes down to one thing, your past is your past and what is done is done. Certain things may be hard to let go of, but you have to look ahead into the future rather than behind. We are all getting closer to dying as each day passes (harsh truth!) and we can never stop that, but we can stop going over what happened yesterday and concentrate on the great things that could happen today.
People who are not worthy of a place in our future lives must be left in our past lives – besides, the only people worthy in our lives are the ones who have helped you through the hard times and are there to laugh with you after the hard times have passed.
Yes, I can be quite a deep thinker at times!Conquer A FearI’m not saying that if you are afraid of heights, you should go and jump off a cliff (do not try this at home!) or if you are afraid of sharks, you should go for a swim in one of the most shark invested beaches – please do not put yourself in any danger! If you have a fear of sharks, why not get up close to one in an aquarium or if you are afraid of public speaking, convince yourself that it is not that hard to do a presentation in front of people who probably won’t take any notice if you slip up! Conquering our fears can make us a stronger and confident person – if you can handle your biggest fear, well then you can handle anything.
Although Cody may be that bit easier to reach than Channing!  Please don’t become a stalker and camp outside their house for a few weeks (although you may have a better chance of meeting them that way), but even if you don’t get to meet a big-name celebrity, just meeting anybody that is well-known is cool. Keep an eye open for any book signings, special appearances, VIP backstage tickets or even keep your eyes wide open while wandering the streets – you never know who may walk by. The closest person to a celebrity that I got to meet was Gary from Geordie Shore – I loved him at the time and went on and on about it for weeks! I’m not such a big fan of him these days, but I still find it pretty cool that he had his arm around me (and I am not one of those girls who has never washed her jacket since)!Share Your TalentGot a special talent that you have kept hidden for so long?
You could join a choir or even audition for the X Factor, you never know where you will end up! If you had a talent for singing, playing the guitar or camogie when you were a young ‘un and were actually quite good, why not pick that hurl up and give it another shot? You may start to enjoy it again, and wonder why you even gave up in the first place. Those are just a few general examples of things you should do before our lifetime is up, but I’m sure many of you have your own personal goals in life, for example make somebody smile, ride in a hot air balloon, rock out at a festival, so why not make your own bucket list?
