And what I’ve noticed about myself is that if I’m not consciously saying good things about myself and my environment I am almost always unconsciously saying negative things. Think about it, if I’m always telling myself how much I hate my job, or how much a certain person annoys me then that likely means I won’t have a good Attitude about that particular part of my life and I won’t choose to see the best parts of it, only the worst. If you have a bad Attitude about your job, do you think that you’re going to show up early, work as hard as possible, and go the extra mile? If you don’t work as hard, and you don’t put in as much effort it’s easy to see that you won’t get great results. You allow yourself to unconsciously perpetuate this cycle in a way that validates your own falsities about how the world works. Said by someone who is in the beginning stages of believing them, or in a more advanced place, they will be effective. But there should be targeted programming that includes anchor behaviors and cognitive and emotional restructuring of the past. Some people are such habitual thinkers that they can’t survive a moment without thinking and panning a situation.
Our inner eyes will only lead us to the magical life we can lead if we learn to be grateful for who and what we are. The work of affirmations continue that process until you completely heal from the damage of self-hatred. If you have been endlessly cribbing over any event in past few days or years then you are a victim of self-pity which leads you to this negative circle.
