All week I have been talking about the importance of positive self-talk to help us improve our lives and our businesses. Today I want to share a super fun, creative way to cultivate an ongoing self-talk habit using I am statements. The beauty of this project is that it is small and does not take too much time, allowing you to be creative and still have time to accomplish your daily to-do list.
For this month’s project I chose to create daily affirmations using the “I Am” writing prompt in a small weekly planner.
First, start with the planner you have chosen to be your “journal” that you will use to create your I Am affirmations in.
I love this idea of creating a daily affirmation journal and you can see Nichole Rae’s beautiful example in the image at the top of the post. To help you write your I am statements, in case you are feeling stuck or finding it a challenge to think of anything positive, here is a list of powerful, positive words.
I am also proud to be a wife and mom of two teens doing my best to maintain the balance in my life and in my business. Have been on the lookout for your posts this week, Minette, but somehow, every time I would scroll down, they just kept getting lost.
Amen to that Judy, would love ALL children to feel loved, supported and confident and help them understand how that it all starts with loving themselves. Everyone should get this picture, print it, post it where you can see it, recite it as often as possible out loud, or put it on your computer as your desktop background.
I have this image taped to my wall, upside down, so that when I get on my inversion table every morning I can read them over and over again while I decompress my spine. It is AMAZING to me how many people think that this is somehow a bad thing, these affirmations.
Just think of every big family gathering that you have ever attended and tell me if the topic of after dinner conversation does not revolve around these things: other peoples misery and how they brought it on themselves, how many problems and ailments and external forces are making the lives of the talkers miserable, and how anyone not in the room has this, that, or the other wrong with them, their lives, their kids, or their choices in life.

You must suffer and sacrifice your dreams and desires to be worthy of happiness in a life that you will supposedly live AFTER you waste this one living in denial of all of your miraculous human beauty and ingenuity. In fact, we are taught, to a degree of incredible efficiency through years of constant bombardment, the totally false lesson that Pride is a sin.
To believe and proclaim that you are confident, to believe you are courageous for anything other than lying down for the sword, that is pride.
Religion wants you to be unhappy, miserable, unhealthy, impoverished, insecure, unworthy, negative, without blessings, grateful to forces other than your own ability, low and disgusting – ugly, humble, eager to sacrifice your unworthy and unimportant life, and live in fear every day.
Say these things every day, believe them like you believe the sun will rise every morning, and you will see that before long, you will be speaking the truth and not just an affirmation. I'm an independent composer, artist, producer self-publisher, and Independent Music Awards Nominee. I am beginning to settle into this time allowing my spirit to unfold into the process of creating. I have always loved using a planner though having a entire week in front of me can be overwhelming at times.
Pick one that you want to embrace or randomly select a different one each day for your journal. I chose to use a small planner that I would just have for my affirmations though you can use your daily planner that you keep your calendar in as well. When LOAAffirmations posts content like this, I can’t help being bewildered by the negative comments from people. If you have gratitude which is not in the form of thanking the invisible God for doing everything for you and bringing all good things into existence for you, because you can’t possibly have anything to do with your own success, that is the sin of pride.
They want this so they can control you and make you believe that this life is just a big waiting room for the real bliss to follow after you are already dead. They want you to be unhappy, miserable, unhealthy, impoverished, insecure, unworthy, negative, grateful to them, low and disgusting sinners who can only obtain value by sacrificing your life to make the barons of industry ever wealthier with every war.
I am an award-winning entrepreneur with close to 15 years experience in marketing, sales and education.

That the only way to get the attention of all the other unhappy people is to constantly complain about how unhealthy we are, and be better at complaining and have bigger issues and problems. If you believe we are beautiful miracles, creatures filled with immeasurable beauty, love, passion, sensuality, and light, instead of believing that all humans are ugly, stained from birth, low creatures that are undeserving and unworthy of anything good, that is the sin of pride. You have to cultivate the habit, especially if you have a history of constantly belittling, demeaning or beating yourself up about everything from your body to your business.
Having a love for creating daily, I wanted to utilize my planner in a creative way and explore new journaling possibilities.
In my professional life, I am a coach, author, and speaker who is passionate about helping creative women entrepreneurs build profitable businesses.
I love all of the roles I play and work every day to juggle all the balls that I am holding, sometimes I drop all the balls and drink a couple of glasses of wine. Can you imagine how young women would feel about themselves, if teachers gave them daily assignments to use these words about themselves in sentences! Are we not taught that to stand up for your self and believe in your self and fight for your right to live and be happy is not courage, but the sin of pride?
I also wanted to find a way for me to connect with the weekly tasks in my planner, easing the anxious feelings that arise.
We are, after all, just killing the unworthy, the unholy, the stained and damned sinner-from-birth people that have the indecency to live in a place we want, worship differently, speak differently, act differently, but most of all are born sinners anyway.
These affirmations and many more uplifting from the Law Of Attractions web site and Facebook Page can help you transform your life from one of constant misery and complaining to one of joy and prosperity. But I think if you look at me now, as opposed to a couple of years ago, you most certainly see that I am loved. I know this for a fact because I love myself, and even if I were the last person on earth, then, I would still be loved.
