In my years of working online, I have not come across of a legitimate rebate processing job. I used to do rebate processing at home, but I would have to drive to a certain location daily and pick up my work for the day while returning the previous day’s work. Unfortunately, the company realized they could pay cheaper labor if they moved the entire facility to Mexico. So you could be running a remarkable business, you could have millions of customers worldwide that absolutely rave about your company, but if you have failed to pay BBB, there is no way to get a good rating and there is only going to be the allowance for negative reviews within your company profile. In essence, it is a one way rankings site that ONLY allows you to help folks that complain if you pay BBB a sum of money every eyar. Me personally, I refrain from feeding them any BUSINESS because of their unethical approach to ratings and the fact that I like to operate off of principle. We have never followed BBB because we have known about their scam for quite some time, however many folks that have no clue how the BBB really operates fall for the ratings. Other times, they dont’ choose companies because of an F rating simply because those companies are unwilling to pay BBB for better ratings. Because we REFUSE to pay BBB money to get accredited and pay them for a better ranking, they have granted us an F rating with ONE, yes 1 product complaint in 8 years. As you have probably gathered from my review, there is a reason why companies don’t pay BBB for a higher rating and because of this, the actual ratings should not be trusted. I recently filed a complaint with a company listed on the BBB and noted 159 complaints filed! Every single complaint references the same issue (automatically charging for an annual membership fee that the consumer either did not see or even worse, had proof of prior cancellation and was still charged. Although, depending on the chapter of the BBB that you deal with they can be very helpful, there are still far too many companies paying them off to boost their rankings and ultimately fooling prospective customers.
I have never heard of them, but what you can do is leverage a Google search and see if they are a legitimate company.
My business has had a stellar rating for years and is the top choice on every search engine. It could be deemed a style of extortion, if you do contact your local BBB though they can be quite helpful.
People tend to only go to sites like this to complain, so when you do 100,000 orders with a few small complaints (or invalid ones), it is truly an unfair metric to assign you with a ranking without any understanding of your business.
I cannot speculate on whether or not they have, but I can tell you that there are definitely companies that are buying their way to much better rankings than they should have. Hi Kyle, I never even was aware of the BBB since I am over here in Belgium but when I read this, my stomach squeezes together.

They are a very credible service, they do a lot of good, but there are definitely things that can really touch on the side of unethical behaviour and I am not the first person to point this out about the BBB nor will I be the last.
It is actually, I think at this point though they are viewed as an authority and almost a government entity versus a business (which is what they are). What is unfortunate at the end of the day is that people are going to BBB to get credible insights into a company before dealing with them and as a results are getting ripped off by companies that simply pay their way to good rankings (even though they are illegitimate).
Yeah, unfortunately that is what I use to think as well before I experienced the BBB process.
Well I always thought that the BBB ( Better Business Bureau ) was a trustworthy force when it came to recommending online opportunities. When I first arrived online to earn a little extra I was using a site similar to yours here for ideas. Do your due diligence when looking to purchase anything online, a few searches online will go a long ways.
Recently, however, I began a small business out of my home and quickly registered with BBB, only to realize later that it would take me several months of income just to pay my dues. As a side note, our rating did move up from the F (now a B+) with a total of 7 complaints in 10 years. This is very interesting stuff, as I refer to BBB a lot to see if a website or company is trustworthy. I think BBB doesn’t seem to operate a business but is more like to work on extortion, bullying around and blackmailing the online businesses.
I’ve heard a radio program in Australia talking about this organisation a year ago with the opinions very much like yours, which means their bad practice is now widely known to the world.
I think you are very brave to post this review way back in 2013, as you have a number of high profile online businesses right at their doorsteps and they could do something quite nasty to you. That is a fair analysis, they do extort money out of folks through their bullying tactics and by allowing people to submit absolutely anything about a company without a fair process for a rebuttal. The thing that frustrates me even more than this is the fact that illegitimate companies can pay for positive BBB rankings which skews the service in a disproportionate manner. Wow…I will readily admit that this was a very eye-opening article on how the BBB actually works.
You are right, it definitely seems to be the older generation that trusts everything the BBB has to say. BBB is just one of the reputable companies that do this sort of thing, there are many others out there that charge a fee for removal of negativity. It is at the best of times an awkward, biased, unfair and unethical platform that takes advantage of businesses. I took his cars plate number and told him I knew the BBB was a scam and if I saw the complaint on their web site I would track him down and deal with him in person.
I am not sure who we can trust these days if our business authority review sites are actually the ones scamming.
Make Money Onlinemake money online doing surveys – make money online doing paid surveys from home! With people struggling to make ends meet every month, more people are looking for as many ways to make real money online as fast as possible. After working online for a couple of years I know for a fact that if a program sounds too good to be true, it most likely is and that was the mentality behind doing this 7 Day Cash Money Review. This program is pretty much about teaching you how to make the money that you need to make in 7 days or less. It is incredibly difficult to generate traffic to 1 page of a website, let alone 300 pages. The content upon the pages is not 100% unique which can have your website penalized by Google before you even get the chance to make any money. There is no chance that you will get organic search engine traffic to your websites, meaning that you are going to have to buy traffic which has no guarantee of a return of investment. This system and program is specifically designed for those who are looking to make real money online as fast as possible. While I have seen better training given in other moneymaking opportunities, 7 Day Cash Money really fails in this area. There is literally little to no support given for this program, especially since you have to invest $49 to have access to it forever. While at first I was intrigued by this system, I have to admit that I am very disappointed with it. I had no idea that BBB was a scam and that you actually have to pay the $Fee in order to have a bad review removed from their website. The problem is people tend to run across many scams before they get the chance to find that one golden opportunity that will help them make the money that they want…hence when I found 7 Day Cash Money. However, before you can get to making real money online there is a ton of training that you need to go through as well as setting up over 300 pages designed for Google AdSense and Clickbank to get the money that you want. This program can also be used by people with advanced marketing experience as they will know what to do to generate the traffic they need, however newbies to internet marketing can use this system as well. While Jean herself offers to become your personal advisor on the project, it will cost you extra just to gain some words of advice for her. While that may seem like you are getting a deal out of it, especially since you are getting access to 300 pages of content that you can monetize, to me it is just not worth is. Right off the bat this program showed indicators that it was a scam such as giving away duplicate content (which is always a bad thing), showing off a variety of Clickbank screenshots and full out lying to you and saying that you can make thousands of dollars in 7 days which is just not possible for any beginner!
The only thing that will happen is that you will lose your money in the long run and be stuck with a bunch of webpages that you won’t even be able to use.
