I know we all don’t get paid every Friday!  So I found a chart to help you with your 52 week goal for Biweekly, Bi monthly and monthly pay periods! One last way to do it is to to go random.  Print the page when you have a bit more cash do the higher numbers and keep track by marking it off as you go.  Making it work for you will make the challenge easier for you!!!! I have been doing this for 2 years and I have a little over 100 people that start with me each year. I found that i could just have a payroll deduction done and deposited in a separate account, i have them take 50 from each check(bi-weekly).
I found depositing bi-weekly automatic deposit is the best way but also, its deposited into a mutual fund. So what I did was take the odd numbers and start on the first week of the year and work towards July. Ibotta is a cool app that will save you money at the grocery store, retail stores, and even the movies. Favado:   This fantastic app will help you save at the grocery store, drug stores, and mass retailers including CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Meijer, and more. One Receipt App is a way to store and organize all of your email and paper receipts in one place. Swagbucks apps allows you to earn on their app by watching videos to redeem for many rewards including Amazon gift cards.
Mint is a free budgeting app that allows you to track your bank and credit cards in one place so you can see where your money is going. Regardless of our personal reasons, the simple fact is that everyone can benefit from having that extra bit of cash. Make a budget: By monitoring your spending habits and setting out a budget for each week, you can keep track of exactly where your money is going.
Make lists: Getting everything down on paper is a great way to clear your mind of stress and keep you focussed towards saving money. Avoid big brands: Most people know that big name clothing brands and designers charge more and are best avoided when trying to save money but the same is true across the board. DIY: Dangerous tasks involving electrics should be left to the professionals but with a bit of patience and effort you can often take care of the decorating or fix broken goods yourself, saving the need to fork out a load of cash to hire in help. Make friends: Perhaps DIY was just never your thing but even so that doesn’t have to mean paying full price.
Don’t renew policies: When you have used the same insurance providers for many years, it can be all too easy to simply renew your policy when the time comes but shopping around can often uncover much better deals elsewhere.
Reclaim where possible: There are many situations where we lose money that could have been retained had we put up a fight. Clear your debt: Putting money aside at the end of the week can feel difficult when there are constant drains on your finances.
Along with using coupons, price matching, meal planning and stocking up on items we use on a regular basis when they hit a rock bottom sale price, I love using rebate apps to save money! I am going to share with you today what hot money saving apps I use on a weekly basis to save my family money. Checkout 51 is a great rebate app available in Canada and the United States. Every Thursday morning, Checkout 51 updates with a new list of offers. Snap by Groupon is another awesome rebate app available in both Canada and the United States. Zweet is a Canadian rebate app that offers a list of products that you can purchase to earn cash back. Save.ca recently jumped on the bandwagon of money saving apps and released their own rebate app.
I love all of your money saving ideas, especially when it comes to every day things (like grocery shopping)! Before we close off this series, though, I wanted to end by talking about the flipside of earning extra cash. If you’re struggling financially, can I encourage you to first focus on getting on a written budget and maximizing the mileage of the money you already have before you go out and try to make more money? Yes, you definitely need to spend money on necessities like making sure everyone has warm clothes to wear, food in their bellies, and a roof over their heads. There are many things that make survival more comfortable or enjoyable, but when we boil it down, many of these things would be considered incredible extravagances to most of the world. I’ll be posting a lot of the best deals I find this weekend to help you save money on Christmas presents, but I want you to keep these things in mind before you buy anything. We’ve talked about a lot of ways to earn extra cash before Christmas in this series, but I wanted to also include a post in this series with some ideas of ways to get Christmas gifts for free. There are typically opportunities to earn at least 200 to 400 points each month, meaning you could earn at least a gift card or two each year.
Sign up for the mailbox freebies that I post and some of these might work for a stocking stuffer or to make a fun gift basket for someone! You can earn points by reading emails, playing games, searching the web, or taking surveys through MyPoints. So many of the freebies that you can pick up by playing the drugstore game or using coupons could be turned into gift baskets or stocking stuffers. If you are accepted as a panel member with Nielsen Home Scan, you will be sent a small hand-held scanner and will scan all the bar codes of everything you purchase. If you’ve found a great way to make extra cash before Christmas that doesn’t require an outlay of cash upfront, please email me your tip. For about four years, I have been cleaning out my closet every season with the goal of taking items to our local consignment shop. Within the last two years or so, I’ve become more serious and focused on what I take to our local consignment shop or our local kid’s consignment sale and what I donate so that I can get the best value for my time and money. I sort our clothes (kids and adults) in three ways: a) To sell b) to donate and c) to throw out. I keep a bin in my daughter’s room for things which will go to the yearly consignment sale. I keep a garbage bag or a big shopping bag in the laundry room for the clothes I donate to our local thrift shop.
When I walk into Worth Repeating, the local adult consignment shop I sell my extra clothes to, the lovely ladies there know me by name. Also, I don’t take the tags off of something until I know for sure my children or I am going to wear it. I don’t like having or going to garage sales — so I have the ladies at Worth Repeating do the job for me! When I get an email or see on Facebook that Worth Repeating is accepting items for the upcoming season, I’ll be ready within a few days to drop the bulk of my items off. If I take a lot of summer items in mid July — even though they’re still accepting them — more than likely I’ll get them back because they didn’t sell. At Worth Repeating, they’ll either donate them to a worthy local cause, or they’ll give them back to you.
Most of the time, I have the kids’ clothes returned so I can possibly sell them at the local consignment sale.
I figure that if I didn’t want to wear it so much that I was hoping to consign it, or if it didn’t fit, I don’t want it back.
Our donor population, for example, is made up of mostly college students, soldiers, and locals who are simply looking for a way to put extra cash in their pocket while doing something that helps people. Here are a few things you should know if you are interested in earning a little more money in this way.
Now, that being said, there are some people who aren’t not suitable for donating due to health reasons. And, for this reason, it is crucial that you are fully honest with the employees so they can be sure you are a suitable candidate.

For most of these conditions, there is absolutely no synthetic substitute for plasma, which is why it is in such demand — these people would either die or have a significantly reduced quality of life without these donations.
You go through a screening process and then sit in a bed while you read, watch a movie, or surf the Internet for about an hour and get paid for it. Yes, I know this incoming earning ideas isn’t for everyone; but I really encourage you think beyond rumors you have heard about the process and check it out for yourself, for your own good and for the sake of the people you could be helping.
Because plasma centers are run by separate companies, there is no one good way to find a center in your area. We’ve done a lot of different thing to save money, but one of my all time favorites has been switching to Ting as our cell phone provider. The thing is, I’ve been able to use that little phone to save me even more money thanks to a variety of awesome apps.
This is an easy way to save on items you already plan to purchase at grocery stores and places like Walmart and Target.  Ibotta’s offers change frequently but recently there have been several offers where you can save on any brand of items like milk, bread and laundry detergent.  Who can’t use that?
The really awesome thing about Checkout 51 is that you can purchase the items at any store that carries the product, meaning you can buy the item at discount stores like Aldi or Save-A-Lot and still redeem the offer! You can actually use Checkout 51 from your computer, but in my opinion the app is much easier to use.
With Cartwheel you can save up to 30% on items that you purchase at Target.  This includes grocery, household, clothing, health and beauty, baby items, office supplies and well, pretty much any category of items that Target sells!  The great thing is that it works on top of coupons, sales and your Target REDcard savings, allowing you to combine these things and really maximize your savings.  I’ve been really loving this app! If you don’t have a smartphone, you can still use Saving Star and simply access it via your personal computer. One of the most used shopping apps available, Shopkick rewards you for simply walking into your favorite stores and opening the app- you don’t even need to buy anything!  You can also scan specific items at some stores for more “kicks”. Use this app to scan the bar code of any item and find the lowest price at other local stores and also online.
Make sure you are getting the lowest price on gas by using this app to check the current price at gas stations near you.
Tammy, yes, doing Swagbucks on your smartphone is so much easier than on the computer because it plays more continuously.
Emily, I have used Snap a little bit but I wasn’t convinced that they were totally legit because I had seen a number of people who were having issues with them several months ago.
If yes, then put these devices to work for you with our list of Best Money Saving Apps that will help you save money. The app matches up the best deals at the grocery store with any offers out there including printable coupons, rebates, eCoupons, and other promotions. Check in while you are watching tv and you will earn points which you can redeem for gift cards and other prizes.
With our iPhone app, you can access all of your receipts on the go and easily add new paper receipts.
Clip the coupons, purchase the participating product, and you will see the discount at the register when you scan your loyalty card.
Target Cartwheel savings are on top of coupons and sales which allows you to combine multiple ways to save to save even more! Choose the offers you want to buy,  take a picture of your receipt before the expiration date, and you will earn cash for purchasing them! By alleviating pressure and providing security, the best way to save money is to make it a habit by implementing small yet effective techniques into our lives that can add up to make a big difference in the long run.
This makes it considerably easier to make cutbacks where you deem them necessary and ensure you always live within your means. By writing a list of everything you need to pay for each week and making sure you never enter a shop without a list of only the items you need, you can cut down on unnecessary spending. From appliances to food to home furnishings; the bigger the name, the bigger the price tag. Be it overdraft charges, PPI claims from mis-sold policies or ticket fees for delayed trains, if you don’t ask, you won’t get but in many cases you will be entitled to compensation. It is less about individual strategies and more about a lifestyle change towards a more sensible way of living. Saving money on our groceries, household cleaners, health & beauty and baby needs allows us to have money to splurge when we want to without feeling a financial pinch. Very often I double my savings or make items I am picking up FREE just by using one or more of my rebate apps on my smartphone! I encourage you all to download these free apps so you can start saving some extra money for that vacation you dream of or a little extra cash come Christmas time.
It works much like Checkout 51 does in the sense you pick the offers you like, purchase them at any store, and upload a photo of your receipt through their mobile app or website. Although I haven’t used it much due to limited and not often updated offers I am holding out hopes it can get better with time and become a great app like the ones above!
You can use it at grocery stores like No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, Loblaws, Extra and Zehrs.
If you use some of the apps mentioned above, let other readers know which are your faves and much money have you earned from them below in the comments! Many of you have written in and shared stories via email how you’ve implemented the ideas successfully! Not only will this help you to achieve better financial traction if your income increases, but you might find out that you don’t need a pay increase in the first place — you just need to manage what you already have! This method has been concocted from years of my own personal experience and years of observing other people’s money management. Evaluate every purchase to make sure it’s a good deal for you and your gift recipient. In this series, I’m highlighting simple and legitimate ways you can earn extra cash over the next few weeks for those of you who could use a little extra cash to help you pay for Christmas — or just for your living expenses if you’re in a tight spot right now. You can use these points to earn high-value coupons, magazine subscriptions, and gift cards.
You could also request magazine subscriptions for people who live in your home (at this time, it doesn’t appear like you can have subscriptions sent to addresses other than your own). I just enter all the free Pampers Gift to Grow points throughout the year and cash them in for some gift cards at Christmas. You can earn points by inputting the codes from Kellogg’s products or by using the free coupon codes they are regularly releasing. Once a week, you’ll transmit this information to Nielsen and you’ll earn points that can be redeemed for a variety of items from the Nielsen Gift Catalog. At first, I thought it was cool that I could go in there with a lot of stuff I didn’t want, maybe make a little bit of money and they would donate for me what wouldn’t sell. I don’t wait until the end or beginning of a season to sort clothes into the above three categories; I do this on an ongoing basis. Anytime the kids outgrow something, or it is out of season, it goes in the bin if it’s able to be sold. Finally, I also keep a storage bin in the laundry room for the adult clothes that I take to the consignment store.
They also know that I want to know what my store credit is, and they know that I’ll probably saunter through the kids’ section and probably find something. That also means that when I buy something, I consider the brand and quality of the item because chances are, it’ll end up at the consignment shop in a few seasons.
I have learned that the brands such as Carter’s, Gymboree, GAP, Children’s Place, etc., not only yield more at the consignment shop, they also sell faster. I make sure the zippers work, the buttons are buttoned and that most of the clothes are on hangers. Thankfully, they’re honest and will tell me what will sell and what won’t and I have learned to be okay with that. I consider the fact that my items could spend a few days to possibly a week — depending how much they have to sort through and price — in the back room before it reaches the floor.

I decide based on the group of items I have dropped off if I want them donated or returned.
But since I have a possibility of selling the kids’ clothes at the consignment sale or at the consignment store the next season, I go ahead and take them back to hopefully sell later. I wash, dry and neatly fold their clothes that are going to the consignment shop next fall and put them in a stack in the basement. So, I make sure they are folded and ready to go when the season rolls around to take them to the shop. In this series, I’m highlighting simple and legitimate ways you can earn extra cash in the next two months for those of you who could use a little extra cash to help you pay for Christmas — or just for your living expenses if you’re in a tight spot right now. All lancets, sample collecting tools, and supplies for our machines are brand new and thrown away after each use, eliminating any possibility of transmission of a disease.
This is why every donor goes through a screening and physical process consisting of medical history, examination, and testing of a sample of blood. The amount you earn per donation varies by location, company, and the weight of the donor, but our center pays anywhere from $20-$50 per donation, and you can do this twice a week! But, if you just run a google search “plasma center in (your town)” you should be able to find one easily if there is one around you.
If you don’t use the coupon before it expires, you’ve lost nothing.  The great thing about Saving Star eCoupons is that they can be used in addition to both store AND manufacturer coupons.  So essentially you can save 3 different ways on one product, which is rather awesome!
That way when times were lean in my business I did not feel to bad, during the summer when things are rocking. You are paying for these devices and services so use it for something else besides Candy Crush! Then you will submit your receipts for specified items in the app to earn a rebate back with submittal.
This one saves me the most money because I don’t have to carry around a keychain full of tags and I always have my phone with me so I always have my loyalty cards with me. In time, these techniques will simply become habit and you will save money without even feeling as though you are going to any extra effort.
It has also enabled me to grow a very nice savings account, should anything unexpected happen, we have some savings to fall on in a time of need. I am happy that they recently updated their service to allow multiple rebate redemption on some offers.
They partner directly with top brands to bring you cash-back offers on the products you need and love, from fruits and vegetables to beauty supplies and household cleaners. CartSmart doesn’t require you to meet a minimum account balance, you can cash out whenever you would like to your PayPal account! Their app also offers flyers but I have yet to use them as I personally prefer a different flyer app.
Once you join, you’ll get personalized offers sent to you that let you earn points when you load your offers and buy the items at participating stores. Buying more stuff might give you short-term enjoyment, but it will never satisfy you long-term. Just by doing simple exercises each day, you should easily be able to earn at least a few gift cards each year. Since I typically have a few things sorted and ready to go, I can easily take them with me and drop them off at Worth Repeating when I’m out driving. That doesn’t mean I pay full price at these stores — I shopped at the Children’s Place last summer and bought a few things for my daughter during their Monster Sale for $0.99. By then, my items could be supremely discounted and people aren’t shopping for summer clothes anymore.
However, most of them (like the one I work at, for example) certainly do not fall in to this category.
These can be used to help people with primary immune deficiencies, certain protein deficiencies, clotting disorders, burn victims, babies born with hemolytic disease of the newborn, shock victims, and the list goes on and on. I managed to complete the entire year by September and for the first time inMANY years did not panic over our Christmas giving.
You can also sync the app among multiple devices, which means my entire family also has these loyalty cards at their fingertips! Most of their offers allow multiple redemption which is awesome! Each offer’s redemption limit is clearly noted on its details page.
Also little different than other rebate apps, with Save.ca once you have $5, you can instantly cash out to your PayPal account. I have won gift cards to grocery stores, lots of kids’ dvds, toys, body washes, free coupons, etc. The better condition the clothes are in, the higher they’ll price the item, making it more profit for me. I love to find ways to save money, be a better parent and a better Christian example to others. Cash out with a $5 minimum to Paypal or choose other rewards such as Starbucks gift cards, Redbox movie rentals, and more.  New ways to save are being added all the time. All you have to do is pick the offers you like, purchase them at any store, and upload a photo of your receipt through their mobile app or website.
Each adult member of your home can have an account, so make sure to sign up your hubby too! As a member, you also have access to convenient online tools, including dinner suggestions, a shopping list and a meal planner. Record your daily incomes and expenses The first step to start saving money begins here with the recording of the daily incomes and expenses. I did all of them as long as I could and then filled up each board with the money that I saved and then worked on the others that were not filled this year. When your account reaches $20, you can request a check or continue to build up your rebate account. I like to save mine up all year and around October will request a check to help with the cost of Christmas presents. At their gas stations, you earn the points indicated at the station per litre you purchase. There is not an option to redeem points towards dollars of your gas bill at this time unfortunately. With multiple family members you can buy multiples of those items (each need their own separate receipt) and each upload to redeem the offer.
However you can redeem at 10,000 point increments above 20,000, so if you have 50,000 points you can redeem them all to save $50 off your grocery bill.
Once you have all the information or data; relist them by category- groceries, electricity bill, gas bill etc. At the end of the month, get the total amount and compare your expenditure with the income. Then do some important jobs: Sort out the priorities Choose any one from the short term or long term goals Consider your monthly budget Start following Setting priorities means always making choices.
Different saving and investment strategies There are different types of saving and investment strategies- long term strategy and short term strategy.
Don’t put less important things in your list, which are not necessary enough at this moment. Only proper utilization of time can help people to reach the goal with minimum expenditure. Just see around, there are a lot of people who are fighting for the same purpose in their regular lives. With this 10 simple strategy, you will be able to save more money and hit your target faster.
