Falling from the sides of the Bear Ridge and Bear runs, down into the Boomerang gully, is a wooded area with a some clear shots know as Bear Chutes. It is fairly steep and parts can be clogged with alders early in the season, but clearing in recent years means most of it is skiable fairly early. The main open sections quickly become mogulled and even the trees, which are skiable, albeit tight, in most places, can get quite bumpy. A series of rightward traverses is often needed to milk it to its full extent.
