You can download EDACS by looking up the RR DB SID (that's the ID # assigned by the database to each trunked system). The control channel is on LCN 2 however for some reason, it keeps asking me to input the frequency for LCN 0 (doesn't exist as far as I know). Assuming VAC or VB Cable does not touch the audio but merely pass it through as-is, it should be at an optimum level. It makes the control channel decoder happy but DSD+ does not seem to like it - which is why a different waveform is passed by the voice role VCO.

Remember it is important that it to get a good RTL2832U DVB-T stick to make these projects work well.
Some scanners can output control data directly through a usb interface directly to UniTrunker (see the Radio Reference Wiki for a list of these radios). This would give you a very inexpensive and very portable UniTrunker system for less than $75. Once you have all the concepts down on how to get UniTrunker, SDR Sharp, and the RTL2832U sticks all talking to one another, you can vary the mix of radios to customize the system as you need to.

I know I have easily used the GRE-410 as the Signal radio, since it will output control channel data directly using the optional data, but I was just curious of how well the DJ-X11 discriminator worked. Each NOAA weather satellite broadcasts an Automatic Picture Transmission (APT) signal, which contains a live weather image of your area. A site window should appear displaying call activity if your settings are correct and the control channel is active. I’m trying to get Unitrunker working and the control channel for a local EDACS96 trunked system looks more like the APCO P25 spectrum. I can hit my control channel with 100 health and I can see the voice channels coming in ok. However the freqs for the voice channels are in the 800mhz range and not 400 where they should be. Unitrunker signal receiver detects the EDACS96 Pro Voice encoding just fine (Health 80-100).
