The General Motors Locomotive Group (GMLG) Electro-Motive Division (EMD) SD70MAC is one of the most common locomotives plying the rails today. Accordingly, We believe that when you decide to go to Command Control that you do so with the least anxiety, the best support, the most security and choose a system that you decide is best for you. Although these models employ two distinctly different mechanisms, they're all wrungs on the same evolutionary ladder. Performance is virtually perfect - smooth, quiet, flawless pickup and throttle response, exceptional pulling power, etc.
MU hose detail, a powerful five-pole motor with dual brass flywheels, and a DCC-friendly mechanism.
Two different headlight versions are available - one with the headlight in the cab and one with the headlight in the nose. These models are equipped with all-wheel electrical pick-up and blackened metal wheels in trucks that replicate the HTCR Phase II trucks.

The mechanism sports all of the features of the original design (vis'a'vis the motor and the rest of the moving parts).
Shell removal is dead simple - just grab the shell with one hand, the fuel tank with the other hand, and pull up.
9" minimum radius, but it looks much better on 11: or larger radii where the overhang is reduced. It looked great rounding the 15" curves and performed smoothly through turnouts and crossovers. The SD70MAC is quite popular in today's railroading, being heavily used in coal train service by some of today's best-known Class I American railroads. Kato HO EMD SD70MAC cab headlight features being great for pulling our Gunderson MAXI-IV double stack well cars, directional headlights and lighted ditch lights, Illuminated pre-printed numberboards, powerful five pole motor with dual brass flywheels, roadname specific headlight placement and truck type, and all wheel electrical pickup from scale 42" blackened metal wheels. Originally introduced in late 1993 with an order for the Burlington Northern, the production now totals over 900 units, exceeding the combined production of the SD80MAC and SD90MAC locomotives by over 300 units.

If you do not like it, send it back for your refund or exchange (subject to restock charge at discretion of Tony's Train Exchange). The SD70ACe has been designed to fit the latest EPA standards and regulations, and sports 4300 horsepower. Each engine is equipped with dual brass flywheels and 32" scale blackened metal wheels in the trucks.
