Ho trolley parts, tubular track roller coaster,ho steam locomotives with dcc and sound - Review

A distinctive feature of the trolley layout is the scratch-built model of the Key Route Inn at 22nd (West Grand Ave) and Broadway, Oakland.
We offer a brief description of our trackplan rather than a graphical representation, because the layout is relatively compact and all trackage is close to the public walkway and readily seen.
Most of the trackage is contained within the main town of Melrose, adjacent to the HO standard gauge SP and WP Mainlines of the Canyon Division.
There is an additional line from the Oakland Mole building to the upper level of the Oakland 16th St.Station. The Bachmann Spectrum Birney Safety Car is an excellent model a trolley that was widely used from before WWI through the post WWII period, and now again in the 21st century on heritage operations.
By the mid 19-teens, the automobile was making noticeable inroads on urban transit rider ship. Managements were initially concerned with the reaction of a public used to cars with a motorman and conductor to these new cars with just a single operator.
Over 6,000 single-truck Birney cars were built between 1915 and 1930 for use in the US, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, and Australia.
In addition to the Sacramento Northern (#80203) and Philadelphia (#80201) cars that we reviewed, Bachmann also offers the car decorated for Baltimore (#80202), New York & Queens (#80204) and New York's vast Third Avenue Railway System (#80205). The roof of the car snaps off to provide access to the upper circuit board and decoder socket. The model is powered by a small can motor with worms at both ends that drive the axles through idler gears that provide additional gear reduction.
The model comes with a factory installed dual mode DCC decoder connected via a standard 8-pin plug. This is an excellent model a trolley that was widely used from before WWI through the post WWII period, and now again in the 21st century on heritage operations. HO Brass Model Railroad Equipment Corporation, PCC Trolley Car, some tarnishing to brass work, condition Excellent. By 1912, all street railways in the Oakland area were consolidated into one company which would be known as the Key System. Trackage winds around the town between the yard and car barn, with an extension running along the west wall of the building to the town, yard and industries at Havenscourt. They could be found on large urban operations, and on small town near-do-well systems, and so should be attractive to both dedicated trolley modelers, and to those just looking for an add-on trolley line. One major component of the Oakland transit operations was trans-bay service connecting Oakland with San Francisco. Chicago, Aurora & Elgin Railroad blue liveried Overhead Electric Coach No.12, condition Excellent in Excellent original box. In addition, the Southern Pacific Railroad operated a competing trans-bay electric rail service until 1941. In 1960, the Alameda Contra Costa County Transit District became responsible for public transportation in the East Bay area, acquiring the Key System.
