Studio desk diy, entryway bench plans - Try Out

Hello Jack I am about to start building the exact desk that you have built because I absolutely love it man, great work, but I wanted to know what your base measurements for the top of the desk are because the size seems perfect for my setup, and also the angle for the racks at the top of the desk. A studio desk like this would cost well over $2000 but with a lot  work and planning ou can do it for around $300.
In addition to building the desk for him to save money, I also convinced him that we should build all the cables .
Here's the start of the desk, with my buddy Jeff in red and me attempting to look like I have any f*ing idea what I'm doing.

In case your wondering where the pc is, its on the left side of the desk, covered in sound deading material (12" wedges).
The desk in the first pic (that this is based off of) retails for $3600, and takes the company 4weeks to build. I really want to get rid of it and put a straight desk on one wall freeing up the space on the other side.
However you don't have to spend a ton of cash like I did (and actually for what I spent I built a hellva desk), you could easily scale back and do it for less, I wanted mine to be 8-feet long and 3 feet deep, and i used fairly expensive plywood, so you could make yours smaller and use cheaper plywood, or I even saw a guy who built a desk entirely out of pvc tubing and only used wood for the desk surface, and it was very inexpensive and actually looked really good when he was done.

I might also look at some sound absorbtion for on top of the desk for critical listening sessions. Do you guys think there are any benefits to have a desk in the corner or is it bad news all the way around.
