It’s hard to point to just one reason behind the artistic success of the King’s Singers, but their approach to Christmas music is a fine place to start.  Their long time bass, Stephen Connolly, says each member of the group received special Christmas training.

“I think we’ve all grown up, you know, from the age of about 7 or 8, with very intense Christmases of singing in the bleak mid-winter and we, we’ve part of church choirs and that English choral tradition around Christmas.  We don’t really have glitzy kind of Christmas music back home really; we don’t do it as well as you guys do it.”
